Ok, just booted them off my list too. Was gonna wait till monday..but clearly there is no point having leechers. Thanks you all for the heads-up, especially OCmike123. đź‘Ť

I've done some checks on the ones I have on my list (will add the ones missing).
Of course the data is based on gran-turismo.com, if it's not updating correctly the data might be wrong. :)

For people not racing for the last 2 days or more I mark them with amber.
It's called Frequent B-spec Grinders Club for a reason. :)

Is there going to be a back up list? For those that missed registration? I wasn't aware of this club til registration was closed, sucks I missed it.

Hey guys,

Going through my logs last night to make sure I'm reciprocating properly and noticed some things.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to remove a couple of you from my list due to inactivity.

aj071082 - logs show you haven't hosted a race since March
imma44and1 - you don't appear to have ever hosted a race (i.e. I can't tell from your log - it's empty) :)

I'm fine with helping out friends who are not using the grinder or even active at all with their accounts (yonis being one), but if you're on this list, it should be because you participate, right?

No hard feelings guys.

Thanks,
OCMike123
Those two are off my list as well.

Guys ...You joined this club, to grind other drivers, in this club.
I see a lot of logs with more non-members than members.
That is, AFAIK, not the point of this club.
We are supposed to grant members a racingseat, before we give them to people not in the club.

And let me just say, that I don't mind grinding members, who actually grind their mates more than the members.
But then ...Why join a club? Just click the first post in this forum, and add everyone there. ;)

Dude, those are some great pics! Did you take them? If so, very well done.

Yes. I'm a freelance photographer on the side, mostly in the automotive field but I've done a few events for Playboy :) If you're into European tuner vehicles, my photo was on the cover of Import Tuner for the May 2011 issue (widebody Corrado with an S4 engine and a VR6 Golf GTI).

I noticed psi-opz also as a good driver, so he is now in the list.

Yay, thanks for adding me. Everyone in club please add me to your friends list if you haven't already done so.đź‘Ť PSN ID: Psi-opz
P.S. : All active club members will go to my "always use" list.

PSS: I have a modest 630 car garage and I'm happy to share any auto with club members. Just let me know what car you want to borrow and I will put it online.

I just want to ask, about the whole "leave-one-driver-open", I'm following this rule and not using any drivers that would render the owner unable to race, but I have my PS3 on from about 14-17 GMT+1 to 22-00 GMT+1.
During this time, most that have added me are online and have just one driver remaining. This isn't meant to come off as an excuse, but when I check my log and see that you've been racing my "bobs" (thanks Morten, Qoncip, yeah, everyone), I want to return the favor. But what I'm trying to say is that when I try to "grind" and check the on-going races, most of you aren't in them. I don't know what to do, I'll keep racing those available but I can't really change the times I'm online. :guilty:

First of all guys, I would just like to thank everyone in the club that has been grinding my bobs

Thanks to Imported-Riceboy for the silver chrome paint. đź‘Ť

Now the bad news :(. Due to a demanding private life, I will be unable to grind as frequent as I would like :banghead:. so I will have to remove myself from the club.

Thanks again to everyone involved, and I hope that when the time comes, the door will still be open upon my return :P

Also, please don't be offended if I delete you from my friends list, just don't want you guys to think I'm freelancing. I will commence removing friends 12hrs from this time stamp  (In the middle of a 24hr B-Spec race)

All the best.

Mig

Okay Mignun if you will be able to grind again just say it, and you can back on the list.

I'm sure if you just set the widget to reciprocate it'll catch up and race some of us eventually, don't worry unduly!

I had this problem when I only had about half the list added.
As long as we grind the list everything balances out. I went from a list of 4-5 grinders to now 100% grinders. The widget returns "Refuse to reserve XXXXX driver even though it said it was free" like every single race now, sort of like were fighting each other to host the race. This does not happen on a normal friends list. At least not in my case.

Once I added everyone the grid started to fill a lot smoother. But I do notice how some people that you want to grind are always busy. Well now thats a good thing. :)

Hey Whiteruin, I've been struggling a bit with this too as I have a number of friends from before the club (and who are not members of the club) that still include me in races. I mostly leave the selection up to the reciprocate feature in the widget because there aren't a lot of times where I can manually setup races. And there are many times where I cannot get club members in races (not sure why but I'm including a capture of my most recent log to illustrate).

06/10/11 07:19:43.597: Race has started.

As you can see, Westey is the last reciprocated driver and then the widget goes into random selection mode - which will pick up club members and non-club members alike.

The Always Use method doesn't seem to work very well for me as it looks like it selects them in order (filling up races from drivers at the top of that list rather than by reciprocating). Shuffling people around would be too time-consuming for me. Although, every once in awhile, I'll put friends here for a night in an attempt to pay them back for recent runs that I don't appear to have reciprocated.

So as it stands now, I have everyone on Reciprocate, except for one friend that doesn't race much on Always Use (and limited by leaving 2 drivers free so as not to take up more than 4 slots). If there is a better way to prioritize and reciprocate fairly to both members and non-members, I haven't found it yet.

Yonis mentioned that he is working on some logic that will keep track of how much you payback your friends, which might help out in that respect.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
OCMike123

PS. You are one of those guys I'm not able to seemingly race lately...good for you. :)

It's all good man. If everyone shares the mentality "Hey, I don't want to get myself called out on the message board" this club works.

I have made so much money this past week BTW... I recognized lots of your guys names on random logs for a long time now. It's a dream come true to have you all on mine. :)

First off. If any of you see my post as a rant, nag, or me being a complete idiot, then don't! It wasn't meant to be like that at all... Well the idiot part might actually be spot on. :)
And besides, it's just a game.

I just found it odd with all those logs full of racers, not in the club.
I then noticed, that I sometimes only race against 5-7 of you guys. And the reason was indeed, as HOODFIELD mentioned, because all the Bob's were busy, earning for that next sweet ride.
So to end this wall of text ... It's all good. :)

Question guys, I know I'm not in the club, but hear me out. đź‘Ť

Does anyone get the widget to "hang up" for a long while sometimes? I have been looking at mine for about, oh 15 minutes just saying "Starting Race." Any way to remedy this that you guys know of?

Your co current thread/driver delay settings are slightly off. That is my guess. If its filling up 16 no problem then I would really stress slightly maybe one click up.

Hmm, I will put my concurrent to 2 threads and what do you suggest delay to be at? Currently at 10 sec right now.

Yes I've noticed this recently, seems to be happening more often since 2.5.1 (or possibly just since my friends list expanded since joining the club!)

Can I just say that MattZR1 is an also excellent remoter and should be on the waiting list for this club (if he wants to be!) đź’ˇ

Sometimes it has also to do with the GranTurismo page.. there it is the same.. it just hangs and after the race you can start a new one..

Thanks for throwing me under the bus gonzo, lol. J/K btw, I appreciate the offer, but I can't be held to the high albeit slightly insane standards (haha) that you guys are currently at right now for grinding. I only grind mon-fri when possible, weekends I usually take off. PS3 needs a rest then, lol.

That is more than enough.

I run 2-10 as well. I would hate to go less but you could try 1/5 and nurse it see how it goes. If not 1/10.

That is what I would try I'm not claiming to be an expert on this. I have this feeling like everyone has there own unique experience figuring out how to tweak the grinder. Type of computer, internet connection are all outside variables.

Edit: On the other hand if you have been running 2/10 successfully for quite some time and this is a one time thing I would not go changing anything but blame the reason on this:
Sometimes it has also to do with the GranTurismo page.. there it is the same.. it just hangs and after the race you can start a new one..

I used to run 2/5 for months, since I joined here I have to run 2/10. 2/5 had trouble filling the grid. I hope this helps someone.

Ok, here is the deal, I'll join the club, you guys twisted my arm lol. I can run Mon-Fri 7-4 when possible since I do all this grinding at my job, LMFAO. Playing GT5 at work=priceless.

BTW, when I add all you, do I just put all of you to recipro or what is your best experience? And also, prior to you all joining, did you just put everyone else on your list not in the club to "Never Use?" I need some guidance, lol.

I may still keep one or two of my friends not in club on list though since they hook me up too.

Pretty much everything you said is exactly what I did.

Everybody from the club, plus your few personal friends on reciprocate. The rest to Never use. In theory everything should balance itself out. Thats the best any of us can really do. I haven't been using Always Use anymore. I have noticed this list is so busy always use does not matter. The grinder struggles to find free drivers at times if your not racing at the moment you will be picked up soon.
