Yes. Sorry I haven't posted the combo yet. I have the day off so I'll get it posted sometime today. I want to drive the Praga but not sure where yet. I'm leaning towards one of the VIR layouts.

Ok combo is up. Praga @ VIR Full. I tried some of the alternate VIR layouts but didn't like them as much as the full course.

Good choice. 👍 After trying @mister dog 's Yellowbird combo the other night and realizing I needed to learn the lines properly first, I went for the Praga for a good hour and it was a LOT of fun. I still keep an eye on this and still want to join every week, but GT6 friends keep pulling me back with Friday night beer rooms. :dunce: A lot of times I'm not even driving when they're doing practice laps, because it's hard to go back after AC.

So you're saying we need to send you more beer...... :D

Tried this combo out just now, VIR suits the praga perfectly with it's fast direction changes.
Will be nice tomorrow

I'm around the 1:56 mark after 3 laps.

My best was a mid 2:16 I believe.....either I'm doing something wrong or I'm way worse than I thought. :indiff: Granted, I've not driven high downforce cars a lot so I'm not very good with them, but I'm not usually that rubbish.

It's in the approach to the car and corners, where the extra time is found. A few things I noticed in watching "Stig's" replay.

  • Very late braking whenever possible. But smooth on/off is key with this car
  • this type of late braking looks like diving into the area where the apex is, rather than slowing down first and then aiming for it.
  • Combine more rapid downshifts with late braking to make it more successful
  • let your foot hang on the brake ever so slightly on some apex approaches (and sometimes past it) to keep car rotating the right amount and not losing it. Let off gently after doing this.
  • wait for apex, even if it seems like you are coasting too long. be disciplined, and WAIT for it!
  • Entrance to corners matters more than we sometimes think. It's the entrance that sets you up for a good exit.
  • no curbs with that car, at all!
  • USE THE TUNE POSTED EARLIER :D
Anyone who felt a bit slow, I would highly recommend going back and trying to figure more out with the car (and surprisingly, I learned more about the track too! even though I've raced it in other games extensively). A lot of times, we show up to these things without a lot of practice, and do not necessarily know how fast you could go, and so we don't chase down that extra time, or get frustrated and quit. Believe me. I had times when I wanted to quit last Friday, because the car just kept misbehaving. It was a combo of the car not having the best setup + me not having the right approach to the car.

Remember... it's not the spoon that bends, it's you!

Or in my case...

:dunce:

I'd already had a few beers and a couple fingers of bourbon so there probably wasn't much that could have helped me. :D

Something a little different this week. OP updated.

Brindle & I noticed these two cars are pretty evenly matched so it should be fun.

I'm iffy on Black Cat County but if we can fill up our newly rented server (24 slots) then it should be a good time. Or it could be an absolute disaster
