 I'll put this on the Humberside ToCA crash log :sly:

Well at least I'm not as much of a danger as dear old Alan, who used to own this monstrosity...
Rover_214si.jpg

For those who don't know, over the years, he's owned a Rover 800, a Rover 214 Si, a Lexus IS300, Vauxhall Insignia and his most recent ride, a Kia Optima! :nervous:

So. Few changes being outlined. For members, ignore the numbers, just copied and pasted across the OP list of members because I cannot be bothered writing everyon back out again.

~OP needs a renovation and update.

~Threads listed need updating with tables, etc. (@Yeratel84 :P )

~FRL will start a shift to PCARS with a new thread. This is progressive. Fox has already lent a hand.

~Setting up a new Skype specifically for FRL-related activities. I've already got an email and computer profile. The username will be public for any FRL member to add me, as will email.

Also evaluating all options. All series on both platforms (and no, WSC / ToCA are not being extended on PS3 :P )

One thing I do want to know however: How many here are off to PS4 and PCARS somepoint?

PCARS on agenda is Ginetta Junior / Clio Cup series and potential BTCC / ToCA package.

I also have a PS4 but I'm not getting pCARS or any future PS4 sims as I've had enough of the wheel support BS.

I will be getting a PS4 and Project Cars hopefully by the end of the year (my birthday is in September so how much money I get will dictate when I get them)

So a month and a half ago on GTP I bid farewell to ToCA, the FRL's original flagship series. In little over a month we also bid farewell to the WSC. But it is more than that. After a lot of thinking, and planning, The Le Mans Classic that ends WSC X will be my last competitive drive before I undertake a semi-retirement from online racing until at least early 2016.

I have also taken the decision to retire from GT on PS3 the FRL entirely. @snowgt has been granted permission for his touring car series to hold the FRL name for the entire season, but otherwise the FRL is being retired. PS4 PCARS, we will see but 2016 is earliest likely if an FRL ever happens for that.

I cannot thank enough the racers who have taken part over the seasons across the FRL in what has been on occasion crazy, brilliant, diabolical, but always memorable racing. I wanted to create a fun and friendly atmosphere for racing and I believe I succeeded for the most part, but not without you guys co operation advice and help. It has been a true team effort, and thank you. I also suppose you have to salute Polyphony Digital for providing us with two games that whilst infuriating at times to work with, when it has all worked it has made or weekend evenings so much more enjoyable.

So a massive cheer and thank you to @gokartman78 @raceorama123432 @ranhammerR34 @hsv @cnd01 @Yeratel84 @AudiMan2011 @Panoz @CAMikaze @Roflwaffle @rustyMercedes @smuffyatfcp @jammy21 @smuffyatfcp @Downhill Dino @Michelin @The Stig Farmer @R0ssingt0n @PatrisS136 @LancerEvo7 @SkengD @Ninners @Scaniabebe @Carbonox @snowgt @Andil @Spurgy 777 @GTracer98 @FlyingFox @chrisjohnson93 @DK @RacerPaul @DrifterJoe @neljack @TDZdave @Siggers @DaxCobra @paulmac2k9 @Niop @RedPartyhat @Luke @adam46 and the countless others who I probably have forgotten perhaps along the way.

Personally I have also made some great friends here on GTPlanet through the FRL and online racing, and whilst i'll still be around, won't be quite the same as out on the race track.

So signing off, Furi Autosports Team Boss, #54...

Alex / Furinkazen.

:gtpflag:

And truly guys, thank you :)

diabolical
That was me alright.

Here was my first ever FRL post:

I might be a bit hit and miss, but I would love a proper Clio Cup. If anyone else wants to partner with me for a team, just PM me.
I was a dumb, reckless tool with Canamasas level awareness. Then it clicked that I actually had to try; but when I did try luck was very much not on my side.

When I think of online racing, this is what I'll always remember. Nothing will ever come close.

I certainly hope at least some of what i've done for the past 4 years will be memorable :)

While this series has exposed how crappy I am, I've at least enjoyed the time I spent with you guys (when I wasn't disconnected or ran out of talent).

Got my kicks back on online racing after a horrible spell on NR2003 here of all places. Started with the Focus back in ToCA 5 or 6, not really sure. I was able to lead a lap on my second race at the Nurburgring (oh my ) and got better as times went by, even being able to battle it out with @Furinkazen at Indy for 2nd place (DAMN YOU @Spurgy 777) and eventually get that 2nd place (my best ever finish) with the Mazda Atenza 25Z (Dat color combo ). I couldn't repeat the same results in GT6 I could in GT5, and thus decided to bid farewell to ToCA.

I gotta thank you guys for back in 2012 accepting a rough brazilian (which lacked online racing experience on GT) to a total english party and help me improve a lot. I had a lot fun in here and unfortunately I couldn't accept that I couldn't be as fast as I was and decided to leave.

Thanks for all the fun guys back then, always will remember then with a smile. :D

By the way, that 1-2-3-4 Mazda at Laguna Seca was awesome. Mazda is KING.
