I won't make you change the rules for me @Furinkazen

Is there a list of what's left?

Furi
Alfa x4
Ford x0
Honda x0
Hyundai x3
Lexus x3
Mazda x3
Nissan x3
Renault x2
Toyota/Scion x0

However if you are 2 drivers are swapping events, then it still counts as your 2nd Renault...

You've got Car #1 - you, Car #2 - the shared car.

Just deciding which of two classic Renault BTCC liveries I'll use, probably the green.

Good to see one entered 👍

Also some news (might make @Andil less hungry for my rear bumper this season) - Stewards have decided to allow one dropped round for this season. This will be the worst score of a whole race meeting and will be factored into points somepoint - we're still discussing when to factor it in..
Yay.

I find it amusing how some people wander into a racing series, immediately pick a car without any testing whatsoever and then start complaining about its behaviour. Or start asking about putting unspec'ed parts on. Or about using different cars altogether.

By the way, the Subaru BRZ is actually different from the 86GT in the game, even in stock form. I would even go so far as that the Scion is different from the Toyota as well, but the differences I think I noticed are so minor that I might have imagined it.

As far as the overall BoP is concerned, it's a pretty good one. I think I did 48.0 or lower with 6 of the 8 cars at BH Indy. Props to Marunda who I think was involved in that, right? 👍

I'm not sure how balanced the Lexus is, it's hard to drive and when you get a good lap it still isn't fast. Not enough rear grip and traction.

It's not to good at brands, but it is fast round willow and will be fast round Silverstone International as well. It handles like the BMW did last season, and that was the fastest car last season. The lexus is a little slower in a straight line, but it still shows the same characteristics as the BMW.

I think I'm the only one who loved the Lexus.
Wait till you get to spa, it will be fast there ;)

What I feel about it. It's fast, yes, but it never feels as though it has side bite.

The FRS has firmer suspension, but ever so slightly. The BRZ has quite substantially different settings.

It's up there with the others, at Brands Indy it was only .050 off of the Megane and Honda (and Ford at that point, but has since gone faster), but as gokartman says, Brands Indy isn't its track. It'll come into its own at the faster, more flowing (read "good") tracks like Willow, Spa or Silverstone.

I does take some getting used to however.

I was, so thanks, it's always a bit of a worry that you test all the cars and get them specced only for people to start running them themselves and complaining about how cars are unbalanced etc. :scared:

So that's a relief. 👍

Plus, I suppose the Toyota might theoretically be capable of faster lap times, just not with me at the wheel. The other car I wasn't able to get those lap times with, was the Mazda, and although it handles really awfully I thought, it has power, and if you manage to find gear ratios that fit to the track (it having only 5 of them), it might actually also be up there. Although, in my opinion, it will always be a compromise with the standing starts in this series.

Can someone put me up to date on what I've missed?
Everybody picked cars, new people joined and asked silly questions and moaned, we moaned at them, had a bit of an argument and then now.

  • Sig announced you're in a team with him
  • ToCA11 will have 1 dropped score
  • Mel calls Furi an alien
  • Car sign ups are open
  • Scaniabebe needs new headphones to start playing GT6
  • MatheusBond loves a car
  • Akmuq is an alien
  • HSV admits to being average
and that should be enough.

I don't recall anybody moaning, all I remember is people asking to potentially run with different parts.
Furi vs the world discussions class as moaning to me.

Also it's my results that are average. I'm always between 3rd and 6th. Always.

Also @TheLuigi755, can't you join a series and actually use the right car? In STCC you use the Infiniti instead of the Nissan, in WGTC2 you're trying use the HSV KEIHIN when you clearly have to use the base model, and now you're trying to use the BRZ instead of the GT86 or FR-S when those two are clearly your only choices.
