I wasn't entirely sure (by which I mean I'm not sure people fell for it, not that I wasn't sure that GKM's post was real, that was an obvious troll), I think some people didn't fall for it and some believed it. Nope, the drivers outside the top 12 in the championship have to do a pre race qualifying. This means that only the fastest 4 drivers will qualify into the point scoring rounds. After the qualifying session the fastest 4 progress and the other drivers have to leave the lobby allowing the top 12 to enter. Then the point scoring races will commence.

Nobody prevents the ones who don't make the cut in pre-qualifying to organize an unofficial "B"-race right after. If memory serves, there's not all that many that are left outside on any given race day though, as quite a number of the listed drivers will not show up at all events.

I would consider doing that if I didn't make the cut, seeing as i'm going to have to qualify as i'm missing the first 12 rounds
