Didn't deserve 4th in the race but I'll take it, just haven't had the pace all season and starting to doubt the spec for the Jaguar as I barely beat @Furinkazen after he had damage for around a third of the race and completed an extra 2 stops. Been at least 2 seconds off the pace at all of the tracks and hoping that the return to non turbos next season will mean that the Jaguar can be competitive as I've been a mile off this season.

Jag has all the advantages of both the Ford and Ferrari but has a tid of understeer.
Race timer started counting down and said final lap when O'Rama took flag, not you. Denied us all an extra lap.
Yes, I know. I was just as confused as you guys but I figured that was what happened.

I also got PD Logic'd on my last stop. Took 70 liters (came in on fumes). It put tires on and put in 70 liters of fuel, then sent me on my way.

With a full tank of gas. Couldn't fight O'Rama for fast lap :(

Missed out on the chance to take a win today. Thanks to a helpful brake check from Furi I got engine damage and lost nearly 1/4 of a lap

Also I have to say, GT-P drivers behaviour when lapping me was atrocious all around, most of the time, apart from @chrisjohnson93 and @LancerEvo7 (BTW I apologize for that moment on last lap, saw you on my right on rear-view mirror so slowed and moved to the left as you moved the same way)...

I don't think I cause any problems Yera when I'm lapping you. Maybe the one time early in the race where I lapped you and Snow I might have threaded the needle a little.

Duh... got that far when I saw results screen

Same here :odd: Got a lot closer with others whist fighting for position

Decent enough race for me, though ended up doing an extra stop. Got jumped at the start by @jammy21, but the speed of the Mustang down the straight is much, much quicker than the Dino, to the extent that it's impossible to pass without a lunge. (Not complaining, was just that the cars produced lap times in totally different ways) - Was losing time behind Jammy, and wasn't sure how my tyres would hold up, so wanted to build a gap if I could - so when I got close enough for a look at end of Hangar straight, I went for it, but lost it under braking and clipped the rear of his car - so came in for damage quite early on (sorry Jammy).

Then had to push quite hard to get back through the field, and eventually got to within ~10 secs of Jammy, and pitted at the same time he did. Btw @Yeratel84, the damage you got from me is not my fault if you turn in on me (watch the replay, you'll see)

Eventually in 2nd stint, managed to catch Jammy back up, and somehow made a pass fairly early on and from then on just managed to steadily pull away and not have too much to worry about.

Dino is a nice car to drive, very rewarding if you can get the balance right and seemed very strong round here - lack of straight line pace was annoying when in traffic (and yes @FlyingFox your car is just as slow ;)) but didn't matter in terms of overall lap time.

Going to be honest about my race... it did suck.:ouch::grumpy: My spatial awareness still sucks and my car setup sucks as well. :banghead: However, depsite all the spins, close calls, the setup being junk, and whatever else I can think of... I still finished the race, I almost finished 75% of the laps to @LancerEvo7, didn't have any accidents with anyone (close calls YES, but nobody got killed), and no damage on the car.👍 If I pissed any of you off, sorry. Anyway, on to hopefully Red Bull Ring and some better days.

I think I can lock the championship if I win A1 Ring and take both bonus points with O'Rama 4th or lower.

Well, I didn't word/type it down correctly (my bad)...

What I meant was that you two plus Furi had moments where you failed to exercise some caution... 2 or 3 times Furi passed me on the outside, while going way off-track for no reason at all, like you said Panoz I was refering to that moment yes where you even bumped me, and as for O'Rama, once you braked so late and divebombed from so far behind you even collected Snow (if he didn't get any damage from that it was by sheer luck)...

[...]Then had to push quite hard to get back through the field, and eventually got to within ~10 secs of Jammy, and pitted at the same time he did. Btw @Yeratel84, the damage you got from me is not my fault if you turn in on me (watch the replay, you'll see)[...]

Didn't get any damage and don't need to see the replay to know what happened. You followed me closely at least 2 laps prior to that move, and probably noticed that was my normal line through that hairpin (which means for a brief moment I can't really see where the apex is), so with you divebombing like you did, contact was inevitable... also for no apparent reason, you did the same to lap me on penultimate lap on the most stupid of places to do so (had to bail on turning to classic section, which meant with worn tyres and on a akward line meant I barely avoided a spin).

All I'm saying is that with the huge pace difference you had on almost all of us, exercising some patience wouldn't really kill you. But race is done, so I feel no need to extend this...

divebombing like you did

Oh weird, on the replay it showed damage.

If you watch the replay you'll see I was well ahead before either of us even start braking for the corner (leaderboard even showed me being in front of you) - I think it's just that you were to the far right of the track, I was all the way to the left - so chances of you seeing me were probably fairly slim. But doesn't mean it was a foul pass, and certainly not a divebomb.. really hate that you used that word..

As for the lapping.. you didn't exactly make it easy for me, so I took the opportunity when it presented itself - you can let me past, you know.

as for O'Rama, once you braked so late and divebombed from so far behind you even collected Snow (if he didn't get any damage from that it was by sheer luck)...
Don't remember collecting snow? I did come from far back then that was my bad, but I was really pushing after loosing 40s after the damage from Furi. That was my bad, I should have waited

My goal is to lap the field again.
And you did. Sort of... :dopey:

Not much of a eventful race here except for a close encounter with a couple of P cars and a bit of off-roading in the Arena section of the track. I did do a 2-stopper strategy but I was mulling over whether or not I should go for a 1-stopper instead. My answer came in the 58th minute as my tires were going into the 6 range and I was losing grip in the Maggots-Becketts section of the track and went to the run-off area.

Given where we're going to be next week - Red Bull Ring - it's a given that disciplined driving is a total must!

Looking for WSC X material found this gem:

Yeah I got damaged on lap 4 by @Andil just before pitstop enty. I didn't want to make pitstop so early in the race so continue race to see how much damage will affect my laptimes. It did but I decided to continue my pit strategy.
When Andy pass me I decided just to drive safety to finish and get 2nd place in class.

I must say that after qualifying I was a bit shocked by the 2:10.9 that @Andil burned into the asphalt. I knew I was capable of 2:12 high, but at that point it seemed like everyone except for Jammy would get lapped in GT-O.

Once again the Toyota didn't have enough acceleration at the start to keep my position, so @FlyingFox went past, but then I started to get into a decent rhythm and managed to get my position back after a couple of laps. The top 3 were already gone by that point. But then Andil had to pit, and @Yeratel84 had a spin, so suddenly things didn't look so bad as I found myself running in 2nd. Andil then came from the back to take back 2nd and vanished rather quickly to pursue Jammy. Didn't know, if I could 1-stop, but after 40 minutes (pit-window for 2 stops) my front tyres were down to 7, and although my lap times were still decent, I didn't want to risk them falling over the cliff and having to readjust my pit-strategy later on. All in the top 5 came in at the same lap.

And after that stop, I apparently had an epiphany of sorts. Because from one lap to the next I suddenly found about a second in lap time. Yes, the car was a bit lighter, but that was maybe 2 or 3 tenths. I went from doing 13 low-to-mid to 12 low (11.9 as best). With the car not being ideal for this sort of track (no 240kph+ sections), I can live with this gap. What did the trick for me was just a different line through both Maggotts and Vale, and that made it possible to carry much more speed through there. Andil and @jammy21 must have been at least 30 seconds ahead, so they were never in reach, but 3rd wasn't a bad result at all for me here.

Remarks:
@raceorama123432 did bump into me after a very, very late outbraking maneuver into Brooklands. I couldn't see him coming either, because I previously had @Yeratel84 in my mirror. Not a good idea to outbrake 2 cars on the late side. No damage luckily.

@Furinkazen , what was that on the last lap? You outbrake me into T3, then you slow on the outside instead of going by and stay alongside me for 3 corners causing me to take an alternate line and me actually ending up spinning...? No idea what that was...

Had red fuel and thought we had another lap so was shifting into 4th to save..

Another lonely race for me. There seems to be an abyss between the Pro and Am drivers this season and I am right in the middle of it.

Hope next season is closer.

As yera said there where some questionable overtaking moves from the GTP drivers especially into the corners taking the racing line off me. Clean it up lads.

So overall not the best race for me. Qualifying showed our true pace but Ferrari destroyed us on long run, but I am confident the gap me and @Panoz have over a race distance to @raceorama123432 and @LancerEvo7 has been halved. Le Mans might be interesting, because I am certain the Ford will be quicker there.
