I guess I just get tired of all of the people jumping on Slashfan (and some others, too) for liking a certain car manufacturer and not keeping it to himself.

He likes Ford, I don't see what's so surprising about him wanting an epic Mustang.

OK but not everyone knows the mainstays here, hence surprise at obvious bias (which is as you say, perfectly harmless!)

Anyway, I like all kinds of cars and whilst I would spend my money elsewhere at that price, I would happily pay 6 figures or more for a really really nice Mustang, when I am uber rich :)

What he initially said was essentially that there isn't a better car available for 1.3M. That's...a pretty big stretch from liking Ford. He's since clarified that if he had 1.3M to spend on a classic car it would be a Mustang over others. Two very different things.

Whenever I drive in to town for work, I always go past this place. They always have AWESOME stuff in the window. Today they had a DB5 and an F40 amongst other things.

*edit*
Looking at the stock, it was a DB6. I also saw the SL.

One off, 1969 Ford Shelby GT 350 Mustang.....wait until you see this. Cano, I posted this for you

This is a one-off, pre production 351 Cleveland powered 1969 GT 350 supposedly used for testing purposes, and the 351 Cleveland wasn't even offered until 1970 and most 1969 GT350s used 351 Windsor engines. This car was said to have at one time an experimental fuel injection system which is no longer there (shame). The car also has the interior dashboard of a Mercury Cougar XR7, and the car was once owned by Shelby American Chief Engineer, Fred Goodell. This car also has air conditioning, tilt wheel, an automatic transmission, and power steering. Everything you see here is original to the car. This is a mammoth of a rare car in the Mustang community.

Seriously wonder how much that thing is going to fetch....that is probably the rarest Mustang ever built....makes you wonder how many other one off prototypes there are waiting to be discovered.

2 RZ500's and an RZ350 for 6 grand.

The 500's are super rare bikes which normally go for about 10k, each.

This guy is selling a road legal one with 31k, and a track prepped one.
I kinda want to buy them...

A few hours ago some guy posted an RZ500 for 2500 on Kijiji, the next time I checked the ad it was gone.

I like how carfax is capitalized. Because someone with that kind of disposable income on a car like that will need to look at the carfax.

That car is still trying to be sold?
That exact car has been listed for at least a couple years now.

If I had the money, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Always will be my favorite Mercedes Benz

Would CarFax even have the CLK-GTR in their database?

Also, I thought the CLK-GTR wasn't US road legal?

Not really rare but the rights to the very last 2014 Shelby GT500 have been sold for $500,000, or 8 times retail price. All the money went to a good cause though.

In other news, this 1969 Shelby GT500 once owned by Shelby himself is going up for auction, expected to fetch 6 figures. It is one of 18 to be painted in Grabber Yellow and one of 3 to be installed with a 3.50 geared "Trac-Lok" (Posi) differential. It has a 428 CJ V8 under the hood.

'The only Audi Powered full bodied Carbon Exige in the world'
'550hp Audi 2.2 20V turbo motor and 6 speed O2M gearbox. Complete pilbeam suspension and brake set up, 3 way Nitron shocks, SSR Comp wheels.'

This thing would be close to 1hp per kg. :scared:

A very interesting collection at the Ferrari of New England dealership. Still trying to find the time to go look at these all together...

All three are part of a collection and all are around 200 miles!

They also have another F50, 599 GTO, (they DID have another F40, but it looks like it's been sold on their website) and this 288 GTO!

Another rumor that I heard was that there was an Alfa Romeo 8C there... Makes me want to go there so BADLY!!!

First few cars listed in their inventory:

Besides the GTO I guess, I know the F50 & 2 F40s that sat in their showroom alongside the 3 being sold together were client cars they placed there.

There's been a big debate as to whether or not the 3 cars are worth the asking price since individually & at such mileage, none are worth $2 million a piece (the Enzo may be, the F40 isn't). However, the chances of ever finding all three on the market at the same time in the same conditions will almost never happen except for the collection Ferrari of NE is offering.
