Was a Porsche 356 Speedster. Sold for $57k out of NY. It actually got 45 bids.

Description:

This Speedster was found as is after sitting outside for a unknown number of years. It was pulled from an old Roosevelt estate on the North Shore of Long Island. It is believed to have been a race car owned by the Roosevelts and run at Bridgehampton Raceway in the late 50s to early 60s. It appears that it was crashed at some point in history and was parked. It still has part of the racing numbers on the side along and a roll bar.

150000 pounds.

These bikes were designed as a low cost option for privateers in the 500GP class from 96 to 01.

They were twins instead of the 4's that the factory teams got, but were sometimes able to reach the podium because of their cornering speed, despite the horsepower disadvantage.

Actually, just look at their special car inventory, because almost everything they have is worthy of this thread...

Very, very nice... 4 x 427 Cobra's, 300 Gullwing, 250GT Lusso , 206SP, 2 x '67 GT40's... all super droolworthy cars.

If you like stuff like that these guys always have some awesome machinery in stock...
