A Renault used in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade is coming up for sale!
If you grew up in the 1980s, then we have a slice of reasonably-priced excellence you will not want to miss. A 1928 Renault Type NN Tourer used in the third Indiana Jones movie - starring Harrison Ford and Sean Connery - is coming up for auction.
The yellow Renault was resprayed black for its role in the film in 1988 - in the famous scene with a replica of a 1917 army tank - and was returned to the UK once filming had been completed for a ‘sympathetic' renovation.
We're told the car comes with a four-cylinder engine that returns a claimed 40mpg and can hit 50mph, an experience we'd imagine is a trifle clenching.
It's estimated to sell at the Brooklands Museum in the Historics auction for between £9,000 and £14,000 next month. If it doesn't hit five figures at least, we'll eat our sun-bleached fedoras.
