This one-off 1989 Vauxhall Senator modified by TWR with a 4.0 Jaguar I6 tuned to produce 300bhp. Built with the intention of becoming a Police Q car, but ultimately proved too expensive for the force at the time.

Today? Yours for under £3,000:

Well, knowing about the existence of the Lotus Carlton, the British Police could have made great use of a tuned Senator such as that one... Yes, it still gave away 50 or so horsepower to the Carlton, but it was still better than the braindead original engine units which could be found underneath the hoods of normal Senators. It would've come in handy to have such a Q-car, that's for sure.

And now you can have a one-of-a-kind fast Senator, for silly money. And it is no half-assed conversion, so you can keep those worries in check. I'd buy it, if anything...

It's a car, it's supposed to and should be driven. A Mercedes Benz 300 SLS crashed not too long ago doing what it was made to do. A Miura SV just driving around caught fire a few years ago. People make mistakes and cars can have faults which lead to unfortunate events, but at least the car is serving its purpose and not being a garage queen.

In my book if one of the priceless Ferraris or whatever somehow gets into a crash, I think it's more of a good thing. It adds more history to it, rather than it just suddenly being decommissioned and thrown into a museum to look at.

You do know that most of them are replicas.

No actually most of them are the original preserved race cars from back in the day. Similar to that of the historic ATCC stuff done is Australia and the old time Le Mans events held before the 24H. There are also groups that run the original old school F1 cars at historic events. These cars see more potential use than people think and really the museum bit isn't true.

Holy ****! I just saw this car last weekend. Had no idea it was worth so much. :eek:View attachment 466038

It's not supposedly. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...g-a-9-million-1967-ferrari-thomassima-on-ebay

Rather it's just a person who probably knew somewhat about the car, saw it had some history and like the Merc Evos a few pages back is asking far too much for something that isn't worth it. Sure it's probably a six figure car but not a seven figure one of that amount.

I'm so glad that was advertisied and sold whilst I was away and internetless, as there's a good chance I'd have begged, stole and borrowed enough money to buy it. If it's in good shape someone's got a bargain.

Yh I'm wrong just saw the 250 GTO owners registry and saw 70% of the owners are based in America.

Old post I know, but those 250GTOs were the real deal, and the race/parade was at Goodwood, not in the US. Some have taken part in full races at Goodwood too though.

Not sure if posted, it's been for sale for a while but I never bothered to post it

Not sure how many of these there are in Australia, but taking to account it's a Swedish hypercar, there can't be many and I would love to own one of these

Believed to be one of only four black C1 corvettes known to exist and one of only ten ever produced in black in 1954, only one outside of USA.

That's all for now x3 don't want to post too many at once
