£200k is cheap as chips for that... but doesn't say they come with power plants... old F1 cars with 'manufacturer' engines often don't.

Wonder if they also come with all the hardware and software to actually start the thing.

Might struggle to make the noise limit at most UK tracks :D:D:D

Well, that is the downside of this kind of thing. I doubt the FXX or Zonda R, etc, are any easier to run though. I imagine Judd could supply you a similarly powerful V8 to drop in.

Mmmmm... Judd V8's sound awesome!

True on the FXX at least (not sure about the Zonda)... you only drive them with full factory team present.

But I don't have spare change of 510,000 USD though...

Those HK tycoons will surely grab it in an instant.

As long as they don't tune (gasp) it or wreck it, I'm fine with it. Even if it may live a pampered queen life, being preserved in its stock state is more important than everything else...

But hey, that Z-Tune will give those Zonda owners in HK a run for their money. :P

HK may be small, but it's jam-packed with super and hyper cars.

Well yes, but sometimes supercar owners in HK do tend to push their luck a little too much... What happens if the Z-Tune's future owner gets arrested for drag racing a Zonda Cinque? :P

$500k for a GTR :lol::lol::lol:

Madness!

When you have a GT-R which is made with one-of-a-kind, hand-made Nismo parts which you can't find in any other factory GT-R, the madness is diminished. Diminished somewhat, that is...

You'd have to be a pretty big fan of GTR's to decide to spend $500k on one vs say a limited run Ferrari or Porsche for example.

$500k is GT3RS 4.0 or GT2 RS money, and they have a solid track record of appreciation over time.

I'd get those Porsches you just mentioned, then.

I know it's the holy grail of GT-Rs, but anyone can get an R34 and slap on those Z-Tune parts (even if they're knock-off panels) and probably even mimic the power output. It is indeed madness for a GT-R to cost half a million bucks.

With HK within my reach, I'd probably stop by at that store. Though it is very unlikely I'd spot that particular car, since it might be sold the moment I get there (which would be the end of this year, as per my family tradition of going there post-Christmas)

SVX
$510,000 USD is nothing. The first Z Tune R34 is/was up for sale in Australia, apparently rejected offers of around $750,000 AUD...

At an exchange rate of 0.7 (AUD to USD), it's pretty much the same price ;)

It sounds bigger! :P But nah, was more referring to how the offer was turned down which could mean they're after much more. Even though the offers are similar there could be a difference of anything, maybe even 100k, while that's not a lot on collectors terms it's a fair difference for a Skyline.

Surprised at the price of the 959 though, as only about 6 years ago my local Porsche dealer had one for £185,000. I assumed the low price was because they are a massive pain in the rear to keep running.

Everything Porsche has risen massively between then and now. In fact the whole classic car market has gone through the roof.

Yeah I guess that passed me by, I was surprised at some of the comments in the 911 Turbo Cool Wall thread, never considered those cars as especially valuable either.

Now, I know this is for rare or unusual cars, but how about one whose pricing makes absolutely no sense?

What we have here is a 1974 Lamborghini Espada series III with the awful 5mph bumpers, finished in poop brown over tan, in absolutely execrable condition outside, with an interior condition that rivals a brand new Chrysler and most likely a wide array of electrical gremlins... For a cool 89,500$.

Surely someone's having a laugh here, that can't possibly be serious.
