Fuji expert - GTR/F430/Z06 - 00/15/30/45

First time in the Ferrari, I quite liked it.

Still struggling with traction though. Got TC - 1 on at the moment, it's stupid otherwise for me.
 
Major difference going from the GTR to the 430. Ferrari is alot more fun though and more of a challenge with TC set to 0,
 
Any had trouble with antonio(es) tonight? He was really dirty with me on the xx00 race. I so hope he can read english. Lol.
 
just came 3rd @ 9'08.089 with the vette but jezus that was some hard work i'm al sweating lol :D

props for the front GTR's who drove clean they had pretty good times too

I think the vette is a great car to learn in. It's doing wonders for my throttle control, most of the time lol.

EDIT: Sorry for pulling out in front of you then sausages, after i was ghosting and off track.

GTR: pretty much drives itself.
F430: pretty stable, but still a bit hard.
Z06: simply a beast that wants to get sideways, imo. but still my choice.

as matt said above, learning to control the Z06 improves your throttle control so much.
 
I'll be online starting from 00:45 (at least in my time zone). I hope to see some familiar faces... or names online. 👍
 
who had the best lap time on this online race.
I average at 1'49"
But sometime I get a good competition and slip streaming gets me down to 1'45"
with the driver in front of me, usually a GTP tagged having a fraction less.

I'll be on tonight after 7 pm canada/US EST
 
My lap times have been really slow tonight, I'm finding it hard to even break into the 1'46s, which I usually do with ease. :indiff: I'll keep trying though!
 
why don't you guys take the ferrari or vette with TC on 0 instead of bragging about laptimes driven with a "computer car" ;)

the challenge would be so much more fun without the skyline boohoo :(

Maybe because they like driving the gtr, and it's the car capable of the doing the fastest lap times. Don't see how the gtr spoils the race for anyone.

Drive something else. You'll get the picture pretty quick. It's not just the fact that it outperforms anything, it's also almost completely Deathproof. In a collision between any car and the GT-R the GT-R will be fine and the other car will usually leave the track. The punters know this. This is why I hate seeing them on the same track as me - 90% of them will attack me and the other 10% are guaranteed to win the race.

Also they're deathly boring to drive. The only car which, even driven right on the edge, feels like you could just tie a brick to the accelerator and go make a cup of tea.

*edit* only applies to Fuji btw, the GT-R is a dog on suzuka 750 and (surprise surprise) you rarely ever see the die hard GT-R fans on track.

Its true that the F430 and especially the Z06 isnt really fun to drive in the race together with all the GTRs... But I drive often with the F430 because its cool and I dont have the problem that I get punted a lot... Just be carefull I think? You can brake late with the F430 and if they try to punt you they will be ghost (at least thats what I experience)...

Anyway mostly drive there with the GTR and I want to thank a lot of GTP tagged people here for the nice races! Hopefully I didnt do a lot wrong but if so my excuses:)... Special thanks to Danilc1007, Zocker16_GTRP, Kakeskin for the hard competition

I never said you would win every race in a GT-R, what I said was a GT-R (if present) will win every race. I'm sure there's other guys faster than you, driving the GT-R round there. I'll also wager that you don't get beaten by F430's and 'vettes anywhere near as often.
 
I still like to drive the GTR, I find it's easier to get closer to perfection.

It's not that bad around Suzuka, I can beat most of the other guys around the PP750 round there in it.
 
I enjoy racing the GTR. When you get other GTP members or other fast, clean racers in a GTR then the races are great. Very matched and fun. I dont use it cause I cant race a f430 or vetter cause I can, but I enjoy racing it.
 
The GTR is not challenging enough I guess,takes a real man to drive a Vette.If you follow that logicwhy not hop in your Mini & do a race or two at HSR 800,that should be a challenge.I select the car I can run the best lap times in period.not because I'm afraid of the others:idea:

btw just had a great race with GTP_bobzed, we were both vette drivers, i was 1st half of the game untill i got rammed off in the last (!) friggin corner of the game... still ended up 3rd and bobzed 2nd but it's so sad the GTR driver had me ramm me off the track at the end :( Can't they just accept a loss vs a vette or ferrari driver?

That's exactly the reason I drive the GTR. I've found myself in great battles with some fantastic drivers in almost every race. I also like to get around a circuit as fast as I can and far as I've learnt from this event, the GTR is the car to do it in.

Yes punters drive the car but so... get over it and carry on racing. Once you have overtaken them and broken the slipstream they arent going to catch you. Personally punters dont affect me very often. Yes it annoys me in some racers when I get caught up a group and a punter ruins it but get over it. Im bored of people moaning about punters on this site. There is only 1 or 2 punters that get in the races (if you stick the the times set out) and they cant keep up.

So lets stop moaning about people driving GTR's that dont have talent. I drive one yes, but if you want Ill race you in a 430 so I can prove my point ;)

I had a quick blast on this race today, haven't really had time to play much. I know that the F430 was the most popular at HSR and having just finished my GTP qualifier, I wanted to drive something else.

I personally love driving the Corvette, something about it's burley in your face nature I like. What I don't like however, is how badly it seems to perform at Fuji. After about half an hour I found myself racing pretty consistently but still getting outperformed by drivers - with much worse lines and car control - just because they were in a GTR.

What was also annoying is that the combination of the most power and worst brakes results in many overtakes on the main straight only to then be rear ended by someone in an F430 or GTR simply because they're braking spot is later - and they don't understand that they can't go through me.
