Reminds me of an incident where a man used police men with a car and radar gun as a cardboard cut out to slow down motoriest on his street. But god damn thats funny stuff. "his staring at out kids!!, oh noes!!" " ma'am its just a cardboard cut out..."

Not anymore! 👍

Damn! That one is so funny! Down with wrestling! :sly: Real strenght comes from the heart... of a fully trained man.

Proves that wrestling is all fake

Not fake, scripted. Some crazy kid in my public speaking class in my first semester of college did a huge speech about that.

Am I missing something or is there nothing to miss?

I'm guessing you're supposed to imagine it as some sort of side scrolling video game. I don't really quite get it either. Not exactly funny.

the answer is the worlds ugliest. You guys really were supposed to use your imagination. Just let it wander.

I'm glad too see that I wasn't the only one.

I thought that everyone used to do that. I also used to imagine that a laser beam flew out of the mirror of whatever side I was on and the trick was to try to get it in dead in between cars.

Incase it er, wheelies

Actually, that's not stupid at all. Don't forget what happens when the car launches - weight transfers to the rear and it squats. Then the caster hits the ground, effectively doubling the wheelbase of the car, and transferring a whole bunch of weight back onto the front tires.

I don't see how that's much of a fail. It's a notebook without the wire spiral. Product is as advertised.

Ah I see, I didn't think it as I guessed the car was FWD and wouldn't squat too much, thanks 👍

Yes, it will still squat even though it is FWD. And that's why FWD is at a disadvantage off the line - you're lightening the load on the drive wheels. RWD draggers are designed to transfer as much load as possible without flipping, but of course FWD draggers want to keep it over the front axle - or get it back over the front axle as quickly as possible.

Wouldn't rock-stiff rear suspension do a better job? No oscilations in front load.

No, because it still transfers load to the back. A kart has no suspension at all and it still transfers plenty of load. It's all about moving the support points back and lengthening the wheelbase so that the center of gravity falls closer to the front wheels.

In fact when FWD drags first got popular people used to actually preload the wheelie casters so they were lifting up on the rear of car, but NHRA modified the rules to prohibit that. Now you have to be able to slide a piece of paper under the wheelie caster when it is staged.

FWD drag cars actually have softer front suspensions to reduce the rate of weight of transfer. Stiffer springs don't change how much weight is transfered, they just change the rate, and the stiffer they are the faster the weight moves.
