Thats not really that absurd. All NHRA FWD cars run wheelie bars to lift the rear tires almost off the ground and have only the fronts getting weight for more grip.
And in one fell swoop, the funny is extinguished.

Yeah, that bar is actually quite functional. What's got me confused though is that fact that the car is using the front tires from a motorcycle for its rear tires.
We all did,that's for helping it in a straighter line and cutting down on weight.
They actually make wheels just for that. That picture really is funny simply because he was compelled to use wheels from a motorcycle, which I've never even heard of before.Why would you need big fat heavy tires in the rear if you're only going in a straight line? It's a FWD car, therefore you don't need anything really grippy in the back slowing you down. Thats a really great idea.
