Thats not really that absurd. All NHRA FWD cars run wheelie bars to lift the rear tires almost off the ground and have only the fronts getting weight for more grip.

Yeah, that bar is actually quite functional. What's got me confused though is that fact that the car is using the front tires from a motorcycle for its rear tires.

Apparently nobody noticed that yet.

Why would you need big fat heavy tires in the rear if you're only going in a straight line? It's a FWD car, therefore you don't need anything really grippy in the back slowing you down. Thats a really great idea.
