My final Chemistry grade for my second semester was a 58%; needed a 70% to pass. A few people wanted me to ask the Professor if he could bump it up for me.

Even 12% is way to much to ask for in my opinion. Maybe 1-2%-max, but I still wouldn't feel good about it.

My wife rather frequently says to me "We don't need anything down that isle." And just to head off the inevitable comment, that's in the likes of Target or Costco, not Home Depot or Gamestop.

Pretty much. I've never asked for a raise, but they insist on giving me a 3% boost every six months.

To be honest, it's kinda awesome. I wouldn't have been able to comfortably afford my car without those raises. I went from 11.40 to 12.40 in the space of a year, and I'm due for my next one soon.

There appears to be a rope for the dude on the ladder but as there's no harness, I'm lead to believe that they care more about the ladder than him.
