You need to understand that the moderators cannot be everywhere at once, especially in high-traffic threads and subforums. It's expected that you know the terms of the AUP - because you agreed to them when you signed up - and that you can judge for yourself whether something is appropriate under it. And, as Famine pointed out, if you're uncertain, you can always ask a staff member.

We give you enough rope to hang yourself. We just expect that you're smart enough not to do it.

The picture above me specifically mentions sex, so clearly sex is an okay subject.

Actually I removed that one before I removed yours.

The Drake picture touches on disabilities, but was okay'd by a Mod, because the picture didn't display an actual disabled person. So clearly jokes about disabilities are okay, if they aren't specifically directed towards a specific person struggling with said disability.

The joke wasn't about disability, but about the actor - using a phrase from a song of his. It's a bit close to the bone, though not an AUP issue (the only clause it could come under is "You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group." and since it's joke about a person rather than a damning attack on all mobility-disabled individuals, it doesn't).

The Jack Nicholson picture discussed sex and a woman's period, with a cartoon picture emulating a doorway surrounded in blood.

I don't recall seeing that one, or I'd have removed it too. We miss things occasionally. Edit: Yep, previous page, quite right. Removed.

So, by the above accepted pictures thus far, I have no reason to believe the above isn't within the boundaries display as allowable to date.

You had enough reason to believe it wasn't to say this:

If you're unsure, ask first. They say forgiveness is easier to ask for than permission, but it's very much the other way around. Otherwise the funny pic thread becomes the deleted post and prolonged discussion about moderation thread. Like right now.

How come the moderation is way tighter on this topic than on the previous one? I posted the Shining picture on the previous topic and everyone found it hilarious, including a mod. It wasn't removed. Serious question, not trying to cause a fuss or anything.
