Funny things RICErs say (radically immature car enthusiasts)

I know. But, it's irrelevant to someone claiming that it's a 4 cylinder.

Apparently you don't know the meaning of the word relevant.

The thread isn't called the "we dislike cars thread." We don't dislike cars of any kind. We just want to discuss people who can't get their facts straight in a humourous manner.

The irony in this statement is painful.

Here I thought you would love something like this.

Yeah, because threads that consist heavily of hypocrisy are my favorite kind, right?

Thank you for clearly displaying how poorly you understand me, again. Also, good job on being worse than I for staying on topic in the thread.

Last I checked, you're neither a mod nor posting on topic. Which he didn't do either. And I posted a jab at the RX-8, which is far more on topic than either you.

So, please, stop trying.

He was making fun of someone who didn't know what kind of engine the car had in it. Who cares if a fart-cylinder would have been an upgrade, that's not the point and Rotaries are pretty light anyway.

I don't get why people keep talking about weight, and I'm aware of what the post I quoted was about because, you know, I can read.

Agree to disagree and carry on?

There wasn't an issue till you decided to play thread police stating the obvious, which is something you seemingly love doing.

What just happened? Suddenly everyone got defensive and picked up their pitch forks and lanterns.....

Seriously this argument is really immature.
One of my earlier posts was talking about my friend claiming to have a 4 cyl in his RX-8 when it actually has a rotary... Which then turned into something about putting a Turbocharged 4 cyl. in an RX-8... Which then turned into a heated argument...

A kid at my school thought his 90s Civic :censored:box would smoke my brothers 2001 S4. The S4 was used in auto cross before my brother bought it, so it had stiffer suspension and the catalytic converter was removed. The civic had the typical teenager "cool" stuff. Rims, spoiler, stickers, fart can, and as usual with this type of person, no performance upgrades. He pulled up next to us at the stoplight and asked if we wanted to race. My brother and I proceeded to smoke him. I wish I could have seen the look on his face. I saw him at school the next day. He said he missed a shift. His piece of crap is an automatic. I just laughed.

Almost sad these days when you go to schools and see what kids call "cool".

Me every day at my school parking lot:

Yeah it is, but the car was not actually road driven before my brother bought it. And as far as I know its not illegal in my area
It's illegal on a federal level to remove one off any car newer than 1996 unless it needs replacement.

Subject to a heft fine IIRC.

Regardless of it it was road driven or not prior to, it can't legally pass inspection without one.

Some people at my school think a Range Rover or a C class is the height of good cars, yet they turn their nose up at TVR Tuscan. Does my head in .

Well considering my brother is a mechanic, and he actually does the inspections in my town, that is not a problem. And he puts the cat back on when inspection time comes if someone else is doing it, and then takes it off again.

"What's that?"
"A Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster"
"Looks awful."

At this point we cannot be friends

All hot hatches. Honda NSX. Almost anything that's decent in the car world gets put down by them. They called a Speed Six a "piece of crap". Then apparently an XF is just incredible.

I'm studying car electronics at uni. You'd think people in such study programs should know a thing or two... Think again... Apart from basic stuff like not knowing that Skoda and Seat are a part of VW or that a Lotus Exige is not a Nissan, I hear wildest of things there.
