Let's face it the engines in the vision gt cars so far have been rather uneventful (with god awful sounds). All but the Nissan which is a hybrid have been basic petrol engines which is fine but it's Vision GT and I sort of expect something out of the ordinary sometimes. What are y'all's ideas? For example I think It would be awesome if I Vision GT car had a Two Stroke engine. Be creative after all it is vision gt. Oh if this thread gets enough attention I'll send y'all's suggestions to the participating companies although it will likely be ignored.

I hope some of the manufacturers bring some zany engines. Things I am interested in would be:
Any engine with an extraneous amount of cylinders and/or turbochargers
Gas turbines! Or an electric/turbojet hybrid.
A diesel. We've got to have at least one diesel.
Mazda had better do a rotary or else...

It's anyone's guess as to what the Nike and Jordan cars will be powered by, and considering Nike's last car effort was powered by human fitness, it could run on anything! Polluted air, your metabolism, seawater, perpetual motion, oats...

Bertone, with all their problems and if it still arrives in game, would have the perfect chance to create something outré.

A two-stroke small barchetta would be incredible.

I hope the Bertone Vision GT (although that's likely to be impossible) will have a 1500HP lightweight jet engine and rear aerodynamic fan to match with its wild design, and to also perform like a Red Bull car. Also, I hope the Jordan Vision GT has 400HP electric motors driven by human physical exercise on all of its four wheels so it can make 1600HP and accelerate really fast. I also have a feeling that the Lamborghini Vision GT should have the Veneno's V12 engine, but with a twin turbo and a single electric motor, making over 1100HP. The Daihatsu Vision GT should have a 1HP micro electric motor though.

How about an engine that runs on thousands of doomed souls? That'll likely have plenty of horsepower.

This makes a reference to Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry, as one of the characters' cars is said to be powered by an engine fueled by thousands of doomed souls. If you know that movie, how about an engine powered by anti-matter? That'll also deliver a huge amount of horsepower, but one full throttle will mean an instant critical level of fuel.

Modnation Racers hat the ability to make a car powered by hamster movement.

Realistically, a 6.0L V12 quad turbo engine (QOHC, quadruple over-head camshaft) with electric motors powering the front wheels sounds like the highest form of technology ever in an engine. It'll create mountains of horsepower (possibly 1400HP) and produce extremely nuclear and explosive acceleration. I hope that's what they use in the Lamborghini Vision GT.

A fitting engine for the Mini Vision GT is an extremely powerful 2.0L straight-4 turbosupercharged (twin-charged) engine with an FR drivetrain with electric motors powering it's front wheels, so it will be 4WD and have over 800HP, so it will be a monster Mini.
