My brother likes the FTO too. Seems a bit more powerful.

I know what you mean, it's not powerful out of the box as the HP is relatively low and you have to throw every mod you can at it to get it to 500PP, but it feels like a sports car, especially with weight reduction. I'm sure there used to be a more powerful base model that had over 200hp but I may be imagining things, Mine did seem to hit some sort of limiter before each gear change though, which was odd.

Cool name by the way, the Moroccan long distance runner, right?

Will biggesr tyre and custom wing help a bit?!

Biggest tyre? Surely you can't change the tyre size in GT6? Are you thinking of Forza? Or do you mean rim size (which has no effect on performance)?

Brunoblak is back on p1

Another improvement using most of Rajman's tune, as I said I added weight to the front, now 59kg @ -38.
Anyway now on 2:20.453, pos# 361, half a sec better.
I'm currently 4th on my leaderboard, the first three are all in the 2:18's.

I ment rims, yes I didn't mention rims :)

I Thought bigger rims will give a bit better handling and will kill the damn sliding from one side of the track to another.

Really frustrating last two TT's!!
I tried all 3 x size rims and got my best time with standard rims.
I haven't tried without custom wing yet but only had DF on 5.

Thnx for the infos bro!

I could nt do this with the sirocco , but the DC2 was easy, yet but I am hopping to break .22 with bit of practice and tuning Have nt tried the dc5

Dalone, it took me a while to find the right numbers to get Rajman's gearbox numbers. But I'm at 349/225 and 2.83 kg/hp

I have tried FIVE DIFFERENT TUNES with the Integra, and the best I can do is 2:27!!

WHAT IN THE 🤬 NAME OF 🤬 🤬 AM I DOING WRONG?!?! I'VE GOT A GOOD FLOWING LINE, I KNOW HOW TO NAVIGATE THE CHICANES, BUT I'M STILL COMING SHORT!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH!!! WHAT IS WITH ALL THESE UNBALANCED, NERVE-WRECKING, FRUSTRATING AS ALL GET-OUT TIME TRIALS?!

I liked the Red Bull X Standard trial at Suzuka, but THIS... 🤬 THIS TIME TRIAL!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Try another car perhaps :) Like Civic or FTO ?

After a number of laps, I was able to whittle my time down to 2:22.957 with the Integra DC5 '04. Very happy with the early result of around 1800 - 1900 range. I'll try my hand at the X-Bow challenge (although not too fond of that car due to its tail-happy nature)...

Maybe you left the handbrake on :P

It's a tricky track but you can make up seconds with some persistence. Posting a video of your lap would be helpful. I assume you have watched some of the top 10 replays?

217.978 in the Integra DC5 04. Not the greatest lap so still plenty of time out there.

Hope this helps someone :D

Cheers
Leigh

I just couldn't believe what I was doing when I applied these settings. They seemed so weird, but amazingly it worked like a charm. First lap, red-lapping a cautious drive at 2:24. Second lap, got gold with super-cautious drive with 2:25.9xx. Big thanks to Teitzy for the tune.

So I log in the other night and I see WhoosierGirl's lap at the top of the board. Brilliant!! I download her lap, buy the same car, arrange all the settings and think to myself, "I'm finally going to get good by following her around the track."
Yeah, not so much.
Somehow, she's already carrying more speed than me when the clock starts. By the time we hit that first long straight she's pulling away from me. By the time we come to the end of the first long straight she's too far ahead for it to make any difference!
Well, so much for that idea.
But not all is lost. At least I learned that a big part of these uber fast times is finding a way for a car to just plain go fast down a straight. That is, unless these people have a secret DS3 with buttons that "go to eleven".

You'll always carry more speed across the start line on lap 2 or more of your attempt, and I also find that getting turn 1 right gains huge time at Bathurst, not braking too much and nailing the apex and acceleration. Same goes for last corner the other 90 degree left.

I think when you are hot lapping you're coming into the last corner before the start bar much faster than the opening lap cruising start. That hot lap speed carries through until the first corner after the start line,

Have improved nearly a second from 2:22.2 down to 2:21.3.

Oh, regarding 'hot lapping'. I find it doesn't help me in the least. I always nail that 1st corner better on my first lap.
Not sure whether the warm tyres business is any help.

And Rajmans rear suspension level at minimum. I'm using 11.something.

I'm the same @Dalone .. Very rarely do I continue around for a second lap.

There are a few tracks that I have to do multiple laps on to get a decent lap, and this is one of them. I think you can be faster across the line on the second lap if you get the last left correct. The problem I seem to have with running multiple laps here is, when you set a new best lap the screen freezes going into turn 1 to update your time, very annoying, lol.

Appreciate the info. I went back and watched the video of your lap. Stopped the replay to take a look at you car from the side and noticed that your rear wheels are practically hiding up in the fenders. I noticed the same sort of arrangement on your videos from the last 'Ring seasonal.
It would seem that this would cause massive understeer. Is that the strategy for throwing a car into the turns?

2:20.552 in a '99 Integra DC2 with everything off. The top two ghosts on my leaderboards (nowcontrol and SW__10) start walking away from me at Griffin's Mount, and are outright smoking me at the exit off The Dipper leading onto Forrest Elbow. I suspect PEDs.

@lisanorm, great time! Couldn't come close with my own tune. Had trouble reaching the 19's.

With the help of @nowcontrol tune had a 2:18,631 (DS3) after a couple of tries. Still struggling with the last 3 corners after Conrod Straight. Difficulty to break in time and still hit the apex.

Thanx mate, still not perfect, yeah i lost big time through the chase, but when i do get it right everywhere else is slow, last corner i brake a lil bit early and cut in close to curb then power on and hope i dont slide into fence :banghead:......Great time @Mike-ZENKAI back above me again 👍

Thanks SW been waiting for your tune 👍

It will help a lot of people out

Edit - has helped me to a 2:19.476 so far 2:18xxx is my target if I can nail the esses and forest elbow 👍

Edit - 2:19.339 🤬 I was .718 up on my ghost and went too conservative at the end of Conrod and blew a 2:18.700 🤬:dunce:

Well done and bad luck, but i'm sure you will roll past me soon :D

This goes out to "Derpy", if FRZgt is reading this...

Which car did you use, because I'm having so much trouble with both the Integra and the Civic Type R?

Well done and bad luck, but i'm sure you will roll past me soon :D
Hey great time mate 👍

I will have a go at chasing down your tron line

Not much time at the moment I will give it a good tilt on the weekend.

Well done on reaching your goal and thanks for giving me something to chase :)

Edit - Lisanorm said -" Well done and bad luck, but i'm sure you will roll past me soon" :D

Ha ha see you can read the future now 2:18.227  :P

On most FWD and 4x4 cars in GT6 having the front high and rear low makes them turn better, also helps some RWD cars. I have been told and read that the game settings are not inline with what real life settings are, which is good for me because I am clueless as to where and what things do on real cars. No real stategy for throwing the car around, that's just fun, lol.

I spent a considerable amount of time getting into the 2:17's, but I can't do it. Always a tenth or two too slow. Damn! So frustrating.
Im keeping up with the Ghost until The Esses, and then he pulls away...

Had a good run tonight and got myself to #65 with a 2:17.624 :D I am sure I can do better because sector 2 was a bit sloppy and I can beat my ghost from Griffins Bend to The Esses but if I get even the slightest wobble though there I lose my line on The Dipper and then it's harder to line up a perfect entry to Forrest's Elbow and my ghosts immaculately planted turn-in flips me as we exit and pulls a few lengths in front of me.

:lol: logged on tonight for my bonus and did a couple of laps in a Mitsubishi Eclipse Gt '06. Chucked on all power parts and LSD ,trans etc left trans as stock (custom) DS3 instead of my trusty wheel and got a 2:25.200 maybe this could be a good ride with a decent tune ?

Has anyone tried many of the other FF cars yet? I might have a go with some of the less favourable FFs on the weekend . I am very near my limit with the Integra maybe can get a 2:17.8xx if I am lucky :)
