Q: My shifter isn't working right! I can't get it into reverse (and/or sequential mode activates specific gears instead of up/down)!
A: First, make sure you are pushing the knob down when trying to get into reverse. If it still doesn't work, then you've run into a somewhat common G25 problem. Contact Logitech and they'll get you a replacement/repaired shifter.

Q: On the PC, my wheel isn't quite calibrating right! The center position is off by a little bit!
A: If you changed the wheel lock setting (eg. setting it to 720 degrees for Live for Speed), set it back to 900 in the control panel, unplug the wheel, and then plug it back in again. It should calibrate properly. You can then set it back to whatever lock setting you want.

Very good questions and answers, added them to the list.

I had completely forgot about this thread. :scared:

I have a few questions:
1.Does anything happened if you leave the G25 adapter on for a long time?
2.How do you adjust the degree of rotation for the ps2 games?
3.Can you set the buttons up for GT4?

3.Can you set the buttons up for GT4?

1. Yes it gets hot just like a laptop adapter I unplug mine when not in use.

2. You can't adjust the degree as far as I know only adjustment is on a PC.

3. Yes use the DFP settings in the options menu to change the default settings.

4. In your other post you said this wheel cost the most check out the Ecci wheels if you want to see how much a high dollar wheel setup is.

Buttons for the wheel and PS3/PS2
Top 4 The black ones
Top-triangle-cancel-reverse(gear to back car up)
Left-square-cancel
Right-circle-E_brake

Bottom 4 buttons The red ones
Far left-no function
Second button-change view
Third-pause-quick exit (replay at end of race) When you win a race with lots of moneys if you hold this button down as money starts to count down this will add money quick.
Fourth-best race line for license test

Buttons on wheel
Left-look back
Right-nitro

D-pad
Same as controller-up,down,left,right-menu use
Also for (during race)
Bottom-look back
Left- look left
Right-look right

To change any of the button functions use the DFP settings in the options menu. I have not used the wheel in photo mode. The only thing you can't do with the wheel is "exit" game. I also never have my controller on during gameplay, I only turn it on to exit the game. The wheel should be in the far left port to work (port 3 also works for the wheel) port 2&4 will not work for wheel.

The Ecci wheel looks cool.I wonder why i never heard of it (maybe it was made in USA :dunce: )does it have H-gearbox and how much does it cost to buy a brand new one?But anyway thanks for the advice and one more question, will Colin McRae Rally: DiRt (for PC) support the G25?Does it support the 900 degree angle steering and H-gearbox?

cost $1100-$1350
Not sure about Colin McRea Rally. I would guess that your computer will recognize the wheel, not sure if it will support the clutch or H-shifter chech the gamesite.

hey guys, if you use the g25 on a ps3, do all the features that work on PS2 games still work? like FFB for GT4? What about ps2 games that support the clutch pedal, do they still work when you play them on a ps3 with the G25?

I would also like to know.

I would also like to know.

Yes you just have to use the DFP settings to change them. As far as the clutch goes I don't have any PS2 games that have it, I have rented the NFS Carbon (PS3) and the clutch works in it.The settings for NFSU2 are default settings and they are only 2 settings to choose from you can't program the buttons in this game?
I for one would like to see the PS3 to be able to read the wheel and set the buttons to the way I want them. The PS3 is a computer so I think Sony needs to get to work on this.

ok im thinkin about getting a g25 but how hard is it to like set it up and stuff im woried about that

It's not hard to set up at all.If you do buy one when you get it home don't tear into the box as it's packed real tight. Be easy taking it out of the box.

I have the G25 and like it. The reason I went with this wheel was that it has the clutch which I think a lot of the new games will use. This wheel works great on a PC. On a PS3/PS2 you don't have as many wheel options but this is true for any wheel on a PS3/PS2 system.see if you can get a discount and buy both and let your freinds use the one you don't like. Some people think they might come out with a "NEW" wheel when GT5 comes out(Methinks they may have 2 or 3 new wheels by then):ouch:

Is it possible to use the G25 on the PS3 with GT4?

I can't seem to use my G25 with GT4 on the PS3. :guilty:

Well i think you can as some other people here can used it (i think)
Maybe you can try to plug in the G25 into your pc first and setup on your computer, then plug it into your PS3. Well i don't know for sure, just wait till the others can answer this.....

kikie yes the G25 wheel works on the PS3 I have a kinda setup guide for it on page two in this thread read it and set your wheel up like the setup says and your wheel should work.
I also have a picture of my setup in the "Cheap cockpit alternatives only" mine's on page 54. while on the picture you can see othersI have posted. Note: I have the pedals inverted.

It doesn't work. All the buttons work just fine. When I push the pedal, I can navigate the menu. To config. the G25 wheel in GT4 on the PS3, the steering config. button isn't activated, so I can't programme the steering.

[EDIT]: I did it. It's working. I can play GT4 again...

Well having seen the prologue video i now have my heart set on GT5 and therefore PS3...which by the time its out should be below the £250/275 mark they're currently at on ebay amd i may either get a G25 soon (i.e. before then) or at that time. My concern is knacking the beautiful handstitched leather steering wheel and the gearstick as i tend to get rather excited/agitated (depends on position:dopey:) and be rough with them both:scared: Also £100+ is a hell of a price for a steering wheel and footpedals...oh and gearstick:sly::nervous: Cheers, J

Hi I have a question I know my G25 wheel has no problems it is brand new and It just got to my house 2 days ago and I used it for only like 6 hours so far. Anyway you know how the whell turns on its own if you turn the wheel too fast and too much that annoys me a little because it makes me loose control.

I there anyway to turn this Active Steering off(is that what it is called)?

I just setup my G25 wheel with a PS3 but the clutch doesn't work, I can shift thru the gears but I don't need the clutch to shift....any suggestions?

Ok i am wondering does the clutch and stick work like a real car. Cna you actually stall. And cna you go without putting the clutch in

Games Known With Working Clutch
Need For Speed: Carbon by EA Games

Game With 6-Speed/H-Gate
Need For Speed: Carbon by EA Games

Interesting Facts
In GT4, when on the inside view with only gauges, no hood if you move D pad around you get a side view!

Q & A's
Q: My G5 ffb feels akward, weaker than before or there is no forces at all. What should I do?
A: Most previous problems with ffb were caused by a loose power lead. So unplug everything and double check the power lead.

Q: Does the clutch and H-Gate work on all NFS Carbon games?
A: It works on the PS2, PS3, and PC.
Q: My shifter isn't working right! I can't get it into reverse (and/or sequential mode activates specific gears instead of up/down)!

Pretty much, except there is no force feedback from the clutch. You can't feel a biting point

Cna you actually stall. And cna you go without putting the clutch in
Both those questions depend on the game.

In the PC games I've played (GTR2, GTL & Race '07), yes you can stall, and it is possible to move without the clutch, but you need a lot of revs and spin your tyres, or it'll stall, depending on the car.

Not too sure if this is the correct thread as it concerns the G25, GT4 and the 60Gb PS3. So potentially it could go in 3 different threads...

I thought I'd try out GT4 on the PS3.
The G25 works on the PS2 with GT4.
The G25 works on the PS3 with GT4 HD demo and GT5 Prologue demo.
The G25 calibrates when I turn on the PS3.
It calibrates again when I insert the GT4 disc in the PS3.
The main GT4 (home) menu appears and the G25 doesnt work. None of the buttons respond. 2 green lights burn continuosly on the shifter.
The PS3 is 3 weeks old and I installed latest firmware 2.01

Only the controller works but alas I cant play with a controller (I hate them).

Anyone any ideas what could be the issue with this combination?
Did I forget to switch on/off an option in GT4 and or the PS3?

Your help much appreciated....

AMG.

My G25 works with my PS3/GT4 ;your problem might be that you have your controller on and it's overriding your wheel. Don't turn on your controller and try your wheel. You should also set your controller to controller #2 instesd of #1. Also read page #2 of this thread as I have given some tips as to using the G25 wheel. Hope this helps you.

Problem solved , I'd give you + rep for it but alas some moronic immature kids on GTP messed up that functionality. :grumpy:

euh, Im still on page 1. (100 posts/page) So you may want to rephrase that to post# in future ;)
