Are you going to limit it 12 people due to the front page news?

Unless they fix this bug before the season starts that's what I would recommend. 12 max and the rest reserves. It's really too bad, but no way can the system support more drivers at the moment. We've got one to two updates before the official season starts though and can use the pre-season to test.

If I were you Gamesta I would state that the first 12 (however priority they get there) are primary and the rest are reserve... if the system gets fixed the first 4 on reserve get the extra primary spots. The only other way around that is to support two divisions/lobbies, but that's a lot more admin and not really worth it IMO.

Is anyone interested in being a steward next season obviously I will review everything to make sure there is no bias and I will have final say on any penalty but would anyone want to take on the role of steward and help get the replay reviewed?

I'll be a steward....I'll watch over the Pit In/Out speed limits and you can do the rest....Or if theres anything else you'd prefer I do....

Thanks KK that will help a lot.

I am still looking for at least 1 more steward

Have you thought about doing a rotation for the steward? Say if someone gets 3 wins ahead they get a steward position for a race?

I would gladly volunteer be a steward, but if you want someone with more experience in this series, I understand that as well.

I'm just looking forward to the series getting up and running again. 👍

Good news I have written up the OP for season 4 and will have it typed up by the end of the week and posted here for you all to look over and give your opinions and suggestions on it but first car show tonight and the new BR-Z to take pictures of.

Hey gamestaa how you feeling mate? Lets get this show on the road....I'll rustle up a provisional race day calender. Are we set to have our first pre-season on the first week of march? The sooner we can upload a thread on the race series forum, the more time there is to recruit drivers.....your call mate...

I would normally be inclined to tell kk to be patient, but in this case, it has been awhile. Can you give us a solid update, Gamesta?

Yes I can and here it is sorry for the delay I am healthy again and getting things up and running again.

It's alive!! Good to see you back in good health Gamesta. Love the new points and track schedule is very good too. 👍

Looking forward to getting on track and finalizing my car selection.

Awesome!! I couldnt ask for a better track schedule. The best 8 tracks in the game in my opinion......looking forward to getting behind the wheel and have a thorough tire wear test....👍

I am going to get the qualification info posted today hopefully. I also got my short list of cars I am going to use aswell

Qualification = 30mins

Groups: 15 mins qualification for 2 groups
Group 1 consists of drivers with ballast
Group 2 consists of the remaining drivers

Round 1 will have a 30 min qualification session

Test sessions will take place the 3 weeks prior to the first race and will have 3 sprint races per week or test session.

Ts1 : Fuji,Tokyo and Suzuka
Ts2 : Spa,Sarthe and Monza
Ts3 : Laguna and Nur GP

Are pits going to be allowed during qualification? I suggest not so it doesn't become a fuel burning session -- which was kind of the idea last season. If there is a full grid of 16 the first week you can probably split randomly 8/8 and still do two groups.

PD has completely boggled the grid order and timing used for qualifying. Hopefully they fix it prior to the season and then don't break it again. For now we've been reduced to either everyone staying on track the entire time (no pits, no leave track) which is kind of boring for group based quali -- much for fun for the idle group to "watch race". The alternative is having the non racing group watch the monitor and tracking the fast times for each driver and then "manually" staging the start.

Staging means basically resetting track and having drivers go on track and park in start order before starting race timer. It's not hard to do, but it's a waste of 5 minutes at least. Could use preseason to work it the preferred method. If it's not fixed could do two 12 minute group sessions and save the remaining 5-6 minutes for the staging so you still get started in time. If pits aren't allowed for quali 12 minutes should be long enough to get to a point where tires are worn too much to improve. (especially with the new tire wear model and racing medium tires).

I may end up being a part timer / reserve at best this season. I'm coaching my sons baseball team this year and not sure what my schedule will be quite yet. I'll let others sign up first and make their car choices and just take what's left if there is still a spot. If you get 16 then I'll just drop on the reserve list and fill in as needed. I'll also join the pre-season races when available (assuming there is room).

Haven't seen Dragon around much recently. I wonder if he'll return to defend his title?

Yes I think that the no pit idea in quali is really good. Hopefully the update this week fixes some of the online issues.

To note: the GMT times in the time schedule are off.

Also, isn't the Stealth GT-R 1050kg untouched? If you add 50kg to get it to standard regulation, the car would max out with another 150kg of penalty ballast, short of the 180kg maximum in the regulations. Presents a bit of an advantage for Stealth users. Just something to keep in mind.

Fixed the gmt times. The stealth may cause a problem I will look into it I don't think anyone will hit max ballast but I may concider removing it from the series

Wen are we expecting to start the pre-season races....I might not make some of them....

Hopefully the first week of march depending on how this week goes for car choice for returning drivers

I'd still like to see the PP used as the Handicapping system. Say all cars can start at 610pp, and from there you get dropped to 580 for 1st 590 for 2(these are just examples). That way the stealth cars are fully handicapped too. As in the person can either use Engine power removal or Weight handicap.

I will have to look into as I priamrily looked into weight ballast etc.. while testing and if I still go with weight then I would be restricting the stealth GTR from the available car list.

No one is going to win 3 times in a row. Even with the Stealth GTR. I was taking a look into this series, but I don't think I have the schedule to run it. Hope all goes well though.

For now all returning drivers give me your top three car choices and I will get the official thread started.
