check the forums man... don't make the gt5 release date forum too redundant... u could have said this in the release date forum.. plus, no one on here can help u out on this question because they don't work for sony, PD, or gamestop.

If i were to take a guess, they just want a date so they can take preorders and make some money, this date is NOT by any means the real release date... most likely.

He's not asking about the release date. He's asking about pre-order date at GameStop. That's something entirely different from the release date.

I say just ignore pre-orders. They DON'T guarantee you a game, so why pay for one?

What are you talking about? Of course the 5/3/2010 pre-order date on Gamestop is the same thing as the release date.

Its usually changing though. If not actually confirmed, Gamestop or EBgames will give a date that was given to them by some magazine to start pre-orders.

All the points indicated in red that I've corrected are actually covered by the "forum rules" you're directing someone else to read. Nice attempt at moderating though...

With regards to the content of the thread itself... We don't know why Gamestop has set their preorder date to that. We aren't Gamestop. Asking Gamestop would be a good first port of call.
