This is why I go for fruity beers. According to untappd.com Maui's Shave Weisse is only 7 IBU but it's 3.8% alcohol by volume so may be a little lite for your taste.

That one wasn't on the menu. The only ones that were lower than the Pineapple Mana was a tea that didn't have a rating and a mango something or other that was a 10, I think. But I like pineapple more than mango so I took the hit.This is why I go for fruity beers. Monster Energy Rehab. I have to say that I’m starting to really like these, they taste just like peach iced tea. It‘s also a nice energy boost.

Malassadas were actually brought to Hawaii by Portuguese from Madeira island (my hometown) and Azores as well, I believe.
My nanny used to cook them all the time for me (especially around this time of the year - Carnaval). We would eat them dripping with sugarcane honey:
However, what you're showing in your photo, @TB, looks a lot more like a Bola de Berlim, which is the Portuguese version of the berliner.It even appears to have the traditional egg yolk-based cream inside, from the Portuguese variant. (I've just noticed yours is coconut cream)
Interestingly, a quick search shows that the malasada from Hawaii is, indeed, more closely related to the Bola de Berlim than it is to the original malassada.
Anyway, I miss eating a malassada so much now, with a lot of sugarcane honey... It is probably close to 35 years since I ate one.

@35mm - If it helps any, i also had two Oreo malasadas that were like your first picture. Since I'd never had one, or even heard of them before, I was obligated to try them. 
The sign outside the store did mention Carnaval. I'm note sure if they sell them year round or if this is a limited time thing.

A pastel de nata shop opened near UofGlasgow a couple of years ago, and it has done a roaring trade.
I often treat myself to a double pack - £4.20, but they are amazingly good... especially their new Belgian Chocolate variant.

Oh man, I went to a PD today at another school which had the best spread; Kao Soy, beef wellington, fried chicken (my favourite), Pad Thai, all the trimmings and even ice cream. And then some. Kebabs! How could I forget the kebabs?
It was $30 a head but I wasn’t paying so I had at it. Ate maybe 3000 calories for lunch. My only complaint - no chilli flakes to nuke the meal with.
Birthday party in the aftermath with plenty of beers and lots of socialising (not my favourite pastime, socialising), then a date night with the missus at a Sichuan hotpot. Magic.
Not even wasted or beyond repair tonight. I’ve had a good day of intake. Maybe not the 20 cigs, but the air here is toxic anyway.

I'm getting ready to eat some corn flakes cereal without the milk, 2 pieces of French Toast, 3 pancakes, 1 blueberry muffin and some strips of bacon. What are you guys having? I'm gonna skip the maple syrup and just eat the pancakes plain. I don't want any extra sugar in my body.

Those are great. But cost so much.I need to stop going shopping here but we needed more sunblock. I keep finding things I've never seen before.

Hibiki Harmony - By far the best whisky I‘ve ever had. It‘s not cheap but I can‘t recommend it enough! It‘s a blended whisky that‘s better than most single malts.
