Garage Showdowns! Join Discussion to Make Future Events Better!

I only just properly looked at this thread. From the post above sounds like you need some drivers? (sorry cant be bothered to read through 54 pages lol)

Im a PAL racer and would be available if needed?

No need to read 54 pages, just the first post and maybe the last couple here.

sign me up.. i will be running for(TLD) if they will have me..

Absolutely.:D

Ok cool! Well Im not to fussed about the tuner I race for, so put me down as any!

I'll put you with Digital Racecraft, they need some drivers. There is a link to his setup in the first post here.:)

Just so you know, once we get 888 Tuning's setup then we'll start to decide on the date of the race, so stay tuned.:)

Edit: @ Timppaq, if we can get some photos of the finishing positions we'll decide by points like last time.

OK, I'll ask the dumb question then.............
In previous garage showdowns, each garage had their own colour for easy identification, unless I am mistaken.
GTLM's are all black (maybe because it's a Ford, descendant of the Model T)
So how you gonna know who's in which camp? :)

Edit:
I'm up for it, if anyone will have me.

Mine will be the one driving in front. ;) :P Just kidding ofcourse, that's a good question, really. I guess we'll just have to remember who's driving with which tuner 👍

Yup, I think theres at least 4 of us (me included) that are able to take photos of the finishes if necessary.

Oh, and Holden, could I propose a slight revision of the points system? Could we extend the points to 4th and 5th too? So the points go like this:
1st: 5points
2nd: 4points
3rd: 3points
4th: 2points
5th: 1point

So that there is more to fight over, especially with these longer races we have now. Its highly likely the top 3 places will be off and several seconds ahead after the first 2 laps, so it will be more interesting for the slower drivers to have something to fight over.

To make it fairer, we'd have to put equal drivers in each team though.

Some relocation can never be avoided. Got the wheelstand pro for the G25 today, so I can start all over with learning how to drive. Times are down by a second or three and consistency is now a major issue. :P Depending on when the showdown is, I may use the controller as backup. ;)

I'm going to try to get a PAL version asap so I can represent in that division as well.

Edit: Just bought a PAL copy from the UK. Should get here in a week or so. :)

As your colour question has been answered, I'll see what team needs you the most.:)

Edit: I'll put you with The Lion's Den as 888 already has Timppaq.:scared: DR should see Ravenmaven himself get a PAL copy in time.

I hope NTSC gets a little more love cuz 3 drivers are just not enough.

*Nods in agreement*

That's why I write them down in the opening post.:dopey:

The points extend to the number of drivers in the garage with the least people. If 1 garage only gets 2 people, then points would only extend to 2nd place, but that's what re-allocation if needed is for, to give the most positions worthy of points and make a fair competition as possible.

I would like to enter into the drivers circle for this competition. I am an NTSC driver, I'd prefer DC's tune.

DC needed NTSC drivers, your drive will apreciated greatly by NLxAROSA I'm sure.:)

Interesting, I really enjoyed racing you at Daytona Road, hopefully we'll get another great race together in this.:)

Excellent, it's going to be nice to be able to race you. 👍

International events...........💡

OK hold up, WayneGTC makes 13 drivers in the PAL event. I only just realised this, so I guess it's time to allow for a "Race 2". With the prospect of another garage about to enter (ooh, industry insider news!), we need a new race. At the same time, with 5 garages one garage will only end up with 2 drivers, so it will need to be an elimination style event again.
To decide who gets a bye, we could have a single race between the Tuners themselves and winner gets the bye.:) If others could fill the grid and not race in that one that'd be better, no punters to worry about.:)

Edit: Woops, soory, no race 2, but we will have an elimination style tournament tree again.:)

Just looked on the main page and it says races will be held on the 13th, i presume September, when i checked 13th is Saturday...puzzled

It ís confusing, perhaps it could be changed with 'xx' or something like that instead. :)

I like your thinking, but this time I'm too lazy, so after this one's over I'll use Xs. (Although leaving them in pink was a good way to remember what times suited last time, and given time zones, will likely suit again.

We have a new garage addition to the Showdown, "Thunder & Lightning Tuning" are making their competiton debut, and they also need some NTSC drivers (as does everyone).

We have all the tunes, I'm happy to start hearing suggestions for a race date, and if I disappear before then please get a mod to give control of the thread to someone else.

What's wrong? :nervous:

Welcome to T&L Tuning!

I hope you don't have to go, Holden. I'll happily step up to organise or co-organise this though.

Well I'm not leaving just yet, but I am one step closer thanks to some certain idiots in the forum. I also don't trust any mods now, that could lead to more trouble......

Is this event still possibly happening? Not much discussion about dates yet.....

:boggled:whats going on with the showdown?.. my gt.lm has been clamped:lol:its sitting there so long..

ok. theres nothing new in my news.. so perhaps you could tell me what it says? please:)

It says we will have new events on Friday, this Friday. No way we can organise an event before then, and this is obviously going to happen every time, so there's no point in trying before we get private rooms to make our own events up.

At least this will free up some much needed drivers for the much needing Touge Challenge.
