Not sure if this is a glitch or intended, but if you use a unlocked paint, to paint another car, its gone afterwards.

I guess you only unlock one gallon?

Shame if that's true, I really liked the idea of being able to use the paintjobs on other cars but this limits it a lot. I was kinda imagining a fleet of cars in the same colour eventually :)

I unlocked a go-kart and a Yaris for completing the first A-Spec event. I picked them both up from the delivery point, but only the Kart appears in my garage.

Totally off-topic but your avatar pic of Seb Vettel totally looks like the singer Scott Walker, in the 60s. Google and you will see what i mean :)

Whilst driving the Murcielago LP640 in the tuscan night challenge, the headlights would not illuminate the road at all if I was driving at even a slight incline.

Every single person posting in this thread is obviously a GT hating Forza fanboy. /s

but seriously...
The headlights in the Tuscan night challenge 👎 I've haven't seen such horrible light modeling in... I'm pretty sure Porsche unleashed for the PC looked better. That was like 10 years ago right???

My second biggest issue is the head shake effect. This is most noticeable on the rally events and some Nascar events but only really when you are using the in car view. For rally events, I've had to switch to bumper cam because after a lap it starts to give me a headache. The only way I can describe it is the whole view of the track shakes violently up and down on bumpier portions of the track. The problem is that your eyes have natural shock absorption/image stablisation. You drive your real car on a bumpy road. You may notice the dashboard or the mirror vibrating, but you look down the road and it is rock steady. I can accept that some people may like this affect as it gives a visual feedback as to the quality of the surface. All I ask is that it is made optional.

Please PD turn off the stupid head shake!!!! It's so blurry you can't use the cockpit view.

In the old days, when Japanese brought this much dishonor on themselves, they usually plunged swords into their guts, right? Im just saying.

PD is a complete joke. Idiot Kaz spent all their time working on the part of the game where the cars dont even move!

I could tell the way he was tinkering non stop they werent playtesting this product, and I was exactly right. WE are the playtesters, and we PAID $60 to do it!

Their once great reputation is OVER, DONE, FINISHED! They are no better than the noob devs who produce $15 dollar games on the PSN in my eyes now. All talk and no show.

This is a complete embarrassment to themselves, and Sony.

Flagship title my a**!

They had a good run for GT1-4, and I enjoyed every minute of those games, but now its over. The king is dead.

They need to just completely rework the game for however long it takes until all their dreams actually look GOOD on screen, then send every one of us out a NEW disc, instead of sucking up so much of our precious HDD space for the insane amount of updates its going to take to fix this piece of s*** they put in our hands.

Heres my glitch, Audi R8 with a rear wing that isnt actually attached to the car by some margin, Sorry for the pic quality SDTV and mobile phone

I only drive from cockpit view due to using a steering wheel and the hilly night races especially that one are impossible because the road totally disappears when you go uphill. This seriously needs to be fixed! That race would be so awesome if it wasn't broken. The lines on the road should be reflective too, then it would look even more realistic and help with visibility, but that's just nitpicking.

I consider it a bug that the game doesn't remember my A-spec settings when I switch between modes. When I let my B-spec bumbler play bumper cars for a few races, the next time I race A-spec the transmission is set to automatic. Annoying.

Wow, that's lazy.

It's also not entirely true. Standard cars were carried over from GTPSP GT4 and GT3 (The NOMAD Diablo isn't the ONLY GT3 car in the game.) And some standard cars look VERY awesome like the Bugatti Veyron and the Dodge Ram, while other didn't get the beauty treatment, and simply don't look as nice. I suspect this will change eventually and ALL Standard cars will look awesome.

The tachometer in the premium Nissan S13 also does not work properly. It works right through third gear, then when shifting to 4th it doesn't drop, just keeps climbing.

Stealth SLS AMG works in the hot hatch comp... what?

was trying to see what I had in my inventory to use in this comp in the requirement section and sure enough when I clicked on my garage the SLS came up...

:dunce:

Only thing that annoys me so far with the game, besides the standard/premium thing

is how wrong their facts about cars are, i know they're in Japan, but is it really that hard to find out info about a Volvo 240?

it weighs 400kg more than IRL in the game, and it's slow as hell, the cars have a Turbo option IRL, and is anything but heavy and slow...
heck, with stage 3 turbo, the car accelerates slower than my IRL Volvo 240 wagon, which is stock N/A with the 116 stock hp.

they're missing a fair bit of the realism in a lot of their cars.

Also noticed that the R32 GTS25 can't be turbocharged, it's a RB25... of course you should be able to turbo it! :grumpy:

That's not the only one like that, though it is the most extreme and obvious example. There is also the Shelby Series 1 that I mentioned before, and I've also found that the 300ZX Z32, Lexus GS300 and Nissan 240SX are still incorrect since then.

I used my 458 Italia for that competition :D

I dont know if this has been said before but when I was trying out my Miata for the first time in practice on high speed track, it began to rain in a while but its was barely raining and on cockpit view it made it look like there was rain storm. Switched back to 3rd person view but there is no storm. You can rarely see the rain drops. Cockpit view has massive water drops.

you pushed the washer button :dopey:

I'm currently using a dualshock 3 and remapped r2 and l2 as accelerator and brake. This worked perfectly the first time, however upon re-opening the game, pressing the triggers causes no response aside from barely noticeable flickers on the accelerator/brake section of the hud. Also, using circle and square as down/upshift worked fine the first time, but now causes erratic changes in gear like 2nd to 5th and 4th to 1st.

I have checked the mapping and the settings were as I intended, and it's not my controller as I tested both of my dualshocks with identical results, so I'm not sure what's the cause.

Anyone else suffering from the same issues?

Tokyo bay kart tracks has awful pop in. Every corner has scenery loading and disappearing for no reason. Not to mention the shadows on that one.

Well, lets be honest... the whole game is a damn glitch in itself

You know that's a hyperbole. Standard cars, perhaps, but not the whole game. The physics, graphics for Premium cars and tracks, and the wealth of features and racing disciplines are second-to-none. In short, it's a masterpiece ruined by some lazy content padding and, of course, lack of decent bug testing.

I'd hardly say that the bugs (few of which there are) are game breaking.

I will agree about the in-cockpit headshake. That has to go. Your brain/eyes/inner ear compensate for that in real life, but when it is ONLY visual, it can make you very dizzy, quickly. Please update this PD.

2. During the Top Gear Test Track special event, intermediate, ASM is locked and you can't turn it on in the menu before the race. BUT, if you use the RA Function during the race, you can still turn it on. Same goes for any other event where specific Driving Aids are locked.

I really hope they fix this! I turned off TCS in my online room, but what's the point when you can use the RA function to override it and cheat? I know cars have TCS in real life but turning it off makes the game challenging and forces the player to learn how master their throttle control.

It is plain to see that this game was rushed to market for the Xmas season, which baffles me given all the delays already and Kaz's promise that he wanted to wait to perfect the game...

General annoyances. Can't remove HUD stuff. During some of the tests the countdown 3,2,1, START. START is blocking you vision still after starting. On the NASCAR Daytona test, your car is placed in front of the pylons. START blocks your vision until the last second to avoid them. I bet everyone hit the pylons on the first try. Headlights...thats a joke right? I tried the European tour thing, good luck with the night race. Beginner races need old cars that are nowhere to be found. Having to buy a 15k car to win a race that pays 4500, crazy. Need more used car lots. Can't preview paint jobs.

Last night my game started putting me in 3rd gear at the start of every race, grid start or rolling start it didn't matter. Not good starting one of the overtaking licence tests in 5th gear, then gaining control and instantly being shoved back into 3rd.
