just curious AOS and Nk4e have you picked up SF X T yet I have a reserve but I honestly dont know if im gonna pick it up.

I'm thinking about it, but I'll most likely wait til some mega DLC pack or the price to drop. I don't want to pay $60 then fork out more money later on.

Good point I may do the same Besides I have more than enough games to keep me busy(MW3 and SSX) and I do have 2 fighting games I need to continue to learn( Soul caliber V and KOF 13) as well as practice Tekken 6 to keep my armor king game good.

Its really up to you. Its a fun game, the tekken characters have transitioned well. Granted that Ogre is top tier ( not surprised). There is a easy mode and it has a magic series like combos like. lp,mp,hp,hp> other character juggle. You can take off the gems if you want. ( I have all characters with no gems). Supers seem universal. The game needs a update though, the sound will cut out during online play and some sort of lag here and there.

Yeah I listened to reveiws and the online sound Issue hopefully a patch will be released soon I dont know Im back and forth with purchasing it we shall see lolol

Ultimate MArvel vs Capcom 3: 3X this summer!

Got the game... my friend whom I play with often is really sucking at SF now so I decided it's probably a good time to change it up.

The ABCs is so damn tedious for me. Everything feels so damn sluggish, and I still play this game too much like SF.

I saw SFXT in the rental section of my game store, usually they don't have new releases as rentals but this seemed to be an exception. I decided to pick it up for a week to see what its like. My first impressions are very good. I seem to be better at this than SSFIV, don't know why though its probably my knowledge of the Tekken characters already helped me out. I think the Pandora system is very good, if you're 🤬 at fighting games. The system will be banned for tournaments I suspect. My only issue, I don't know what Gems do!

Pandora isn't that good to be banned for tourneys... it doesn't last long enough and anyone can easily just run away from it. X-Factor in Marvel is worse.

Don't treat this game like SF4 or Mavhel, because it isn't. They already banned Gem in tournaments.

Well that's a surprise. I presume it's too much work setting up gems all the time.

So anyway, I'm putting Cammy down. I absolutely hate her normals, will give Tekken characters a try.

After watching a few more videos, I think I'm jumping the gun on how to learn this game. Before I could even grasp controls and stuff, I was already thinking of teams and gems. I couldn't even get in on Rolento so it's much too early to be even thinking about that stuff just yet.

Right now my focus is to find and learn 2 characters I can use comfortably, memorize combos, attack strings, block strings, make use of any mixups, experiment with juggles. I had my hopes up when I opened the command list and found Asuka had target combos that let you do a pretty long grounded basic combos... st.MP > st.LK or st.LP... so I could do something like st.LP, st.MP, st.LP,st.MP,st.LK,st.MK,st.HK>Launch.

Interest might peak for you at one point, Jon, don't bother with Cammy; the reach of her normals make it extremely limiting to do ABCs comfortably.. If you do kick ABCs, you can't be standing too far because her st.HK will push your opponent back that the launcher will whiff. Best to use st.HP or cr.HP, but even then cr.MK can push you too far for the punch to reach.

Also, have people made up button terms yet?

Like:

LP = 1
MP = 2
HP = 3
LK = 4
MK = 5
HK = 6

????
