Don't follow the hype then. Capcom has multiple fanboy based games...Resident Evil, Okami, Street Fighter, Lost Planet,Megaman, Devil May Cry...But ever see the flow of things?
SF4= 60 dollars
SSF4= 40 dollars( free update with 6 new characters?)
SSF4:AE= 15 or 40 dollars ( Free update with 4 new characters)
MVC3= 60 dollars
UMVC3= 40 dollars (12 new characters with free update
SFxT= 60 dollars with 6 characters in mind but hackable now. Gems will cost around 5 dollars..you have colors and costumes to worry about)
The lowered priced ones were the updates and some of them were on the SF or MVC3 Disc.
Namco:
Tekken 6= 60 dollars ( New characters not found in the arcade version found)
DLC= 5 dollars and probably not important
SCV= 60 dollars ( 1 DLC character not needed, everything else is unlockable)
DLC= Not really important
Arc System Works
Blazblue CT: 40 dollars ( originally comes with Tutorial and Soundtrack, preorder came with a artbook)
Blazblue CS: 40 dollars ( Update, with plans of DLC the 4 characters
Blazblue CSII: Free ( System update and character balance) nerfing Noel....
Blazblue CSII Extended? : 40 dollars ( updated system, new character already in there)
SNK Playmore:
KOF XIII= 40 dollars with Sound tracks from all previous games
DLC: one character and their respective stage
Bolded names are updates.
Skullgirls = 8 characters ,probably later plans of DLC but it needs to come out nao! My body is ready!

KOF13 is 3 characters different version of Iori and KYo as well as MR Karate all these character palycompletely different than the ''normal ones''( with new stages)at I think it was 3.99 on psn.

The Dampierre DLC for SCV was needed, Namco finally made a character funnier than Yoshimitsu.

''In an interview with Gameinformer, Capcom’s SVP of planning and business development Christian Svensson said that he wishes Street Fighter X Tekken DLC had been done differently. He also said that there’s simply elements of DLC creation and game design that consumers simply do not consider. His full statement is included below.

There’s been a recent explosion over Street Fighter X Tekken having downloadable content already on the disc. Was it more of a PR situation where you have to be better explaining to fans upfront what is going on with something like this?

It came down to a development process issue more than anything. I wish it had been done differently. I think it just becomes — the rationality of what content costs to make and how you fund that content doesn’t come into play here for the consumer. It’s an emotional issue that I think we need to be sensitive to.

The other part of this is we could have had a better communication strategy around this back at the outset. Left to their own devices, consumers will always jump to the worst possible conclusion. I think what you’ll see in the coming weeks the conclusions that were jumped to were not the correct ones.

Are we jumping to the worst possible conclusion? What is Svensson referencing when he says something in the coming weeks will prove that we are. It seems like we have all drawn the conclusion that Capcom produced this content ahead of time and is looking to sell it as DLC later down the road; specifically in November in the case of the new characters. Does this mean that Capcom might be reconsidering this move? Will Capcom avoid on-disc DLC in the future? Only time will tell." All info is from Shoryuken.com

Is it a glitch? Is there a difference between a glitch and a reset?
That's it, I'm maining Kaz/Xiao.

the consesus is its a glitch
This is a glitch...Kaz's loop doesn't work on all characters, it only works on large characters.

In video games, a glitch is a programming error which results in behavior not intended by the programmers. Glitches may include incorrectly displayed graphics, collision detection errors, game freezes/crashes, sound issues, and other issues. Some glitches are potentially dangerous to the game save data.[4]
"Glitching" is the practice of a player exploiting faults in a video game's programming to achieve tasks normally impossible if the game's script runs as intended, such as running through walls or defying the game's laws of gravity. It is often used to gain an unfair advantage over other players in multiplayer video games.
During quality assurance (such as the role of a game tester for video games), glitches must be located, a report compiled, and then fed back to the programmers.[4] (An example of this is getting to fight MissingNo. from Pokémon Red and Blue.)

If it only works on big characters, it's not a glitch. The hitbox on Sagat just happened to be in range of Kaz's fist.

Akuma used to be able to do that infinite on Sentinel in Marvel 3; I don't see you calling that a glitch.

I could go on...

Alot of SF4 videos, I could understand that some attacks had properties like Juri's taunt, Ryu's focus attack. Alot of them to my belief had to do with Invinciblity frames..

Seth Killian recently posted a short tweet mentioning some new information coming out of Capcom this morning. News about Street Fighter x Tekken should be posted on Capcom-Unity sometime this morning, regarding free downloadable content, upcoming patches, and more. Here’s the message in its entirety.

News re: SFxT w/ free DLC, patches, etc coming this morning from @Capcom_Unity. Buckle up!

This article will be updated as soon as more information is available, so stay tuned.

UPDATE: Capcom just announced what DLC would be free and the prices for those that aren’t. They also mention that the development team is hard at work patching out the infinites that have recently been discovered, as well as the online sound issues that have plagued the game since its release.

Hot on the heels of its March 6 release date, SFxT is about to kick off regular updates – meant to keep the experience fresh all through the year – with a blend of free and paid DLC. There’s a whole bunch o’ content coming, so let’s break it all down…

Up first on April 3 are Swap Costumes that take the “alternate costume” DLC idea one step further – instead of offering basic alts, these outfits cross the fashion line by dressing SF characters as Tekken characters and vice versa. See Raven dress as Guy, Cammy as King and uh, Kuma as R. Mika…(?)

Swap Costumes are available for $1.00 (80 Microsoft Points) each, or if you wanna dive in for the whole assortment you can pick up the Street Fighter or Tekken collection packs for $13.00 (1040 MSP) each – buying one pack saves $6.00, grabbing both saves $12.00. April 3 also brings three free color packs, each containing four new additions to the palette for added customization options. Topping off the April 3 additions are three new quick combos, making for a total of five pre-programmed attack patterns. While spamming these pre-set combos is tempting, don’t forget each use saps some of your Cross Gauge!

Shortly after those items arrive, look for a free tournament support title update that will add a new and faster way to select your gems from the versus screen via a dial system. We’ll actually run a live stream this Monday at 4pm PT to show off this update, so head to our Twitch TV page for details. The tournament update will also include improvements to the online sound issues discussed in Ayano-san’s earlier blog.

Looking just a few more weeks beyond the tournament support addition, the next big wave is a massive selection of free content delivered as a title update. This includes three new Assist Gem packs and six new Boost Gem packs, which add over 60 gems to the selection pool. This sizable infusion of new gems exponentially increases the customization options for every player, so we should see some interesting new loadouts once this DLC arrives. To that point, we’re also tossing in three more gem slots per character in which you can save your preferred loadouts. Finally, this update comes complete with a free replay analyzer, which enables you to dissect each fighters’ vital statistics.

The biggest additions come soon after the PlayStation Vita version launches later this year – the 12 characters debuting on Vita will come to consoles as a $20.00 (1600 MSP) bundle. I know many were worried past character pricing would push the cost of this update sky high, so I’m happy to say Blanka, Sakura, Guy, Cody, Elena, Dudley, Alisa, Bryan, Christie, Jack, Lars and Lei will not break the bank.

One additional note – the dev team is also already working on solutions to the infinite combos currently making the rounds on YouTube, and will have them patched up once these other updates are out the door.

I know this was a massive wall of text, so for further clarity, here’s everything we discussed above. This all begins on April 3 with Swap Costumes, color packs and quick combos, and then rolls out over the next several weeks:

FREE
Nine new gem packs totaling 60+ new gems
Replay analyzer
Tournament support for gem selection
Three new quick combo pre-sets
Three additional gem loadout slots
Three new color packs with four colors each

PAID
Swap Costumes – $1.00 (80 MSP) each or in two $13.00 (1040 MSP) Street Fighter and/or Tekken packs
DLC characters – $20.00 (1600 MSP) for all 12

Oddly, that price is not surprising..might as well put everything on a new disc and brand it " Street Fighter X Tekken: Broken Ties" for $25 USD.

Here's my take on them:

Jun Vs Vega
Maybe its just me, but I feel Jun wasn't portrayed quite right, just seemed off from the person they got to play her to her Killing Vega to win (which to my memory isn't a Jun trait). Vega on the other hand I think was about accurate. Highlight of the whole thing for me was the brief moment when they went MK Sprite style, cracked me up with the classic sounds too. Overall, not bad but I think it could've been better.

The Devil Within
I thought this was a pretty interesting idea, two characthers with dark sides to them both drawn to each other by thier dark powers. Felt the characthers were portrayed well (holy crap, they actualy nailed Kazuya's Hair style!!), though I found the guy who played Ken looked too old (and exactly when did he suddenly learn to switch from english to Japanese? :odd:) and the guy who played Kazuya too Young. Overall, I loved it. I would love to see that expanded upon.
