The fourth way is turtling, lol. IMO, Ryu didn't build any meter and he jumped way too much to get away from hadokens.

Interesting article I agree with what they are saying about VF not that I have spent a little time with it

and now for some good quotes

"There is a distinct lack of flash, explosions, sparks, circus animals, and lasers, for a very good reason. It simply doesn't need them," Abdow explained. "Instead, you'll find a comprehensive, and, most importantly, consistent set of rules that govern how things work. It's just you and your skill that's the ultimate deciding factor." Mike "Iron Myke" Abdow

"People start playing it, and, since they realise it's not as easy as the fighters they are used to, they just go back to those. It seems like the easy games are the ones that are the most popular."

Ryan Hart feels that mastering such games is worth the investment. "For me, I'd like to see people give more time to the harder games, because the merit you get is worth the training you put in," he said.

Played some casuals with my cousin again last night.

I'm likely going to drop Sakura. I've pretty much stopped playing FGs, and if there's one thing that doesn't need me to be practicing constantly, it's poking and basic footsies. Sakura doesn't have much of a footsie game nor does she have a large set of spectacular normals, and without practice, I can't get successful tatsu reps. Hence why I used Sagat the whole time.

I can play a simple poking game with a lot of great normals of his, got a fireball for zoning and DP as well as st.HK for AA.

There are alot of characters with great normals, though I try not dropping characters to play. My line up is usually, Chun, Yun, Ryu, then Rog if I ever play someone.

I have been playing SF2 on my DS more lately, and the only characters I use are Sagat and Ryu. That had an influence on who I used. I'm throwing Chun into the blend as well. I should probably use a charge character like Dee-jay but again, I'm so put off by charge inputs on pad.

Just remember, if your having trouble charging. Just hold D/B to get that charge. SF4 is more lenient on charge characters because it shouldn't take that long.

Playing SF2 on the DS sounds a bit hard lol,but the charge timing might be off.
Its like if I went to playing Hyper Fighting for awhile then back to AE.

It's only hard to do SPDs and DPs, especially when you got wires covering the up and right directional buttons.

Lookie what I found:

Lili! :D

I think after the few recent casual sessions, I've noticed that I spent less time playing the game of reaction and more on the game of thinking about what my opponent is thinking. This was particularly helpful when I played more footsies with Ryu and Chun, while I stopped playing my opponents' game and just playing my own when Sagat and Gouken. That said, I still really hate fighting against Fei.

Your going to rage against a Yoga Sniper then.

I have yet to fight a good Dhalsim. I would very much want to though. I really don't like playing against my cousin.

Also, I think I just went back to using Sakura. sigh

What do people think about this new Dead or alive or that franchise in general I played it barely over at a freinds house when it was a xbox exclusive once or twice but I just thought it was a ok game with jiggle mechanics. but to be honest I never really gave it a fair shot. mildly interested may pick it up but not day one purchase I hope they keep the jiggling to a minimum to be honest

Speaking of DOA:
