General San Andreas Discussion and Questions

What do you mean not that far? If I'm doing the heist missions I'd have to do Toreno's missions first.

Have you done the last mission where you go to BS's crak factory, and you need to steal the Swat tank that shoots out water, and you need to smash through a wall?

Hi Guys, I'm still in Los Santos, I just received the game, I can now GANG WAR, what is it purpose, is it just for money and respect..?

Another question, is the girlfriend vital to you? Cauz I kind off ignore her.

Damn...I really want to know where I can find them, there is 2 Swat cars, one looks like a tank, while the other looks like an armored pickup.

Street Races
I'm well impressed with how the street races are done in San Andreas.

1) You don't have to drive to the race start after you select a race. There's none of the frustration involved with races like Tour! in Vice City where you have to drive half way across the city to do a race. You're transported to the race start point automatically! Huzzah!

2) You've got no choice as to what vehicle you use. You're automatically given a certain vehicle and you can't change! Everyone in the record book is using a level playing field.

3) There's a much wider variety of races - a cross country race using the Sanchez, a cross country race using the Bandito, a cross city races using the Go Kart, an endurance race around the San Fierro countryside using the Bullet, a Los Santos street race using the Super GT, some street races using the FCR900, etc.

The Street Races in San Andreas rule! We're all on a level playing field with a wide variety of races and a wide variety of vehicles.

First of all, the Gang Wars is a new feature. It can give you respect, and you do get money generating at "The Johnson House" from it.

Denise isn't vital. I killed her. Do what you want. She's crazy. But don't bother with her. I just killed her because I hated her.

The vigilante mission in the Rhino gains lots of respect.

I really wanted to kill Catalina because of her being a complete ***** to me but I didn't.

Well, here's the statistics regarding Respect:

Killing a Dealer = + .005%
Killing a Gang Member = + .5%
Killing a Member of your Gang = - .005%
A Member of your Gang gets Killed = - 2%
Territory Gained = + 30%
Territory Lost = - 3%

What I don't understand is this:

Killing a Member of your Gang = - .005%
A Member of your Gang gets Killed = - 2%

Yeah I thought that was strange to when I saw it in the guide.

It really sucks when you have like 7 guys fellowing you and some chicken gets scared over a few gun shoots and runs almost all them over.

I have the ability to recruit 7 gang members but I don't have a gang that I can recruit. What can I?

Well when you get it back, you should be able to to the gang territories after a few more missions, but you might be able to recruit your gang members right now if you have any.
I'm not really sure if you will or not, cause I didn't start using them till I started taking the territories.

It means when YOU kill a member of your gang you lose .005% respect and when someone else kills them you lose 2% respect, though I would have thought the other way around would be more sensible...

I think that's why he's confused that you lose more percentage when someone else kills one of your members then when you kill your member.

Has anyone noticed that when you leave CJ idol for about 5 minutes he starts looking around him at things going on. For example, when I was on the phone downstairs I came back up to find that CJ had "zoomed" in on a Police chase that was happening in the street. It's hard to explain the camera angles. Check it out.

Yeah I found that out a couple of days after I got the game.
I to got a phone call when it happened.

When I came back I saw a cop beating on some guy,and at first I thought it was me.

Gang wars gain you territory. At this point, you don't have to take over other territories--it really depends on your prefference--do it if you want but in a few more missions, gang territories will be the least of your concerns.

I'm being purposefully vague as to not give you any spoilers.

I took Denise up to 100%-- she will stay there if you leave the first island--but if you come back for any length of time and ignore her it will drop off slowly-- you do get a cool car and some clothes for dating her up to 100%--- its not too hard-- once again a personal preference.
