When was the last time a VGT got revealed purely by the manufacturer with little to no input or fanfare from PD? It feels a little weird, like there's a disconnect in the marketing somewhere.

Not exactly a VGT, but the Genesis Gr.4 and Gr.3 cars were this way too - announced out of blue during the information silence between PS5 reveal show in 2020 and PS Showcase 2021.
