Probably mean that we will get an update. I can't remember a time when they stated servers will be down completely. That's there shameful way of telling Gt owners we hear you. Can't face the music and be up front...

You think my expectations are high.. what should I expect?.. I know it wont happend but can I dream at last? ;)

Nothing wrong with high expectations. For example, I always hope that after a night on the beers wearing my favourite aftershave and a neatly pressed shirt that I will wake up next to a gorgeous young woman but then the sad reality happens and I wake up to a ropey old doris my own age. Life sucks sometimes!

It could really be just an early scheduled maintenance. If we would get all that you posted in the update, I would expect some trailer or some bigger official announcement over the weekend. I think if that doesn't happen and we will in fact get an update on Monday it will be rather underwhelming.

It could be anything.. should we all stay quiet becouse nobody knows anything.. xpower you'r having a wet dream nothing to do whit a fan who want the promised features that didn't come so far..
I won't get disapointed if we don't get anything on Monday thats for sure.. PD already touch the botom.. but I still hope things will change.. ;)

I reached out to SCEA again tonight, and, unfortunately, they are still unable to provide any comment on the status of a new Vision GT car in Geneva.

I know many of you were probably looking forward to it after my recent suggestive post. To clarify, I had confirmation from two independent and highly trusted sources that a certain car company would be debuting their Vision GT concept today (March 6th), but, clearly, there has been a delay or change of plans. I apologize if I've contributed to the disappointment; plans always seem to be changing behind the scenes.

Of course, the Geneva Auto Show still has more days to come, and the infamous "February update" for GT6 is now yet another week past due, so it feels like something has to happen sooner rather than later. We'll just have wait to see, but I'm now in the dark just as much as the rest of you regarding what's going to happen next.

So your HIGHLY TRUSTED SOURCES are full of crap. Noted.

So your HIGHLY TRUSTED SOURCES are
only able to bring information, not control the circumstances that allow the information to be revealed
As well it should be.

If we're told that a manufacturer intends to reveal a car at an event and it comes from high enough in the food chain, we'll pass that on. If the manufacturer changes its mind - or production delays force a postponement - it's not our fault, nor the fault of whomever brought us the information. Had we posted it as news on the Blog, you might have cause for complaint, but we didn't.

We're not entirely sure what happened to cause the manufacturer not to reveal their car during the Geneva Motor Show press days as they were scheduled to do, but it's not Jordan's fault, nor the fault of the sources who (independently) brought that information to us. It might not even be the fault of the manufacturer - it could just as easily be a production delay as a management decision.

It might be worth you remembering that and winding your neck in, given the access GTPlanet and our sources have given the community over the last 12 years.

With that said, and I do give thanks for all the hard work your collective group contributes to this series, unless I see a video of Kaz sitting down and walking around the development office explaining the current situation and a deeply needed apology, they have lost completely any respect I have for them.

awww come on man, don't be like that. :nervous: Jordan runs this site and he does a ton of good for the community. He was just trying to give us some hope with what information he had. You can say he at least tried to communicate with us as opposed to what PD is doing! I definitely don't want to make Jordan shy about coming on here once in a while and giving us some information even if it's not directly from PD. I'll take anything at this point! :D

The company I worked for rolled everything out on Friday...
Friday is pretty typical in the corporate world, as it gives you the whole weekend to be ready for the 9-5ers on Monday morning. Games on the other hand are almost exclusively Tuesdays, with the only exception that I can think of off the top of my head being Microsoft using Thursday (Wednesday? (I haven't used an xbox in some time)).

I have a feeling that after the backlash of no interior of the Merc VGT, that some serious head scratching has gone on, and a bit more building.... ;)

I understand, just Extremely disgusted with PD and KAZ at the moment. Highly pissed off that he treats his customers like this... How can some one justifiably 🤬 on the people who make his business possible? Like I've posted in other threads I've lost all hope for this game.

Sure KAZ promised content, but at this point I'm viewing it like a campaign promise from a politician.. Sure it sounds good, but will it happen? Probably not.

Just saddens me because Ive been a loyal Gran Turismo consumer and fan since GT1. And too be duped into buying 1/3 of a game just enrages me.

SO if this "Supposed" future update is anything but massive... Ill never purchase another product from PD again. And by massive I mean it better Atleast have Course Creator, B-spec or the online community feature... Not a Vision car and one track...

KAZ's silence is not doing him or any of us any good. If anything, Its driving long time customers like me.. Away. And I know from other posts on this site, that I'm not alone in this thinking..

Notification of Maintenance GT6

Start: 10/03/2014 00:00 EST
Finish: 10/03/2014 02:00 EST

Update, huh?

http://eu.gran-turismo.com/us/news/00_8470368.html

Nope

To the folks saying kaz has dropped GT6 and is focusing on GT7 may be absolutely correct.... Found this a bit ago..

http://www.examiner.com/article/gra...-and-release-date-hinted-by-kazunori-yamauchi

heres a snippet from the article..

"The development studio does not “want to take too long” with releasing a follow-up title to “Gran Turismo 6,” which is coming out later this year. Kazunori Yamauchi mentioned that the best case scenario is to release “Gran Turismo 7” in 2014."

Doesn't look promising. Granted this was posted in 2013, yet it really starts too ring true... Zero communication, Zero Information. Looks like KAZ just tossed GT6 aside and now has his tunnel VISION set on GT7 for a release later this year.

That would make sense if PD used to be aces in communication and now suddenly have gone silent.

Truth is, they've rarely if ever talked about anything unless they were asked about it in an interview. And not even then they wanted to say very much about it.

The update is probably just delayed, relax.

How long should I relax? another 3 months? 6 months? a year? whats an acceptable time slot for these updates? I was promised content which hasn't been delivered..

If I were too sell you a car, for X amount of cash... You make the payment, go to pick the car up.. oh but wait..I cut the car into thirds and say you can only have 1/3 of the car now..... And I Promise that Soon in the Future you can have the other 2/3s you paid for.. Then suddenly I went silent for months on end.. Giving you no updates, or information on the rest of your car... How Relaxed would you be?

You bought the game knowing what you were getting, and knowing that you DID NOT know when the 'coming' features were actually coming. Who's fault is that really?

I understand you're upset, but you being upset is not evidence that they have stopped supporting GT6.
