Dont look now but I just found out about a new Tokyo Highway Racing game that's like TXR that's in alpha! It's called Wangan Racing Performance.



Sure it's not an official TXR, but this may somewhat satisfy our craving for a new TXR while we wait for an official announcement.

well...at this point, the game looks great, BUT! they're the developers of Drift Streets Japan and that game is...how can i say it...a Little bit...more like a boredom killer game. that's what i see from this game. neither an awful game nor a great game. just like that. a boredom killing game. both games look great, dont get me wrong but uhh...i dunno. i get the same reception from Drift Streets Japan...

If you want to drive Wangan with proper physics, there's a mod of C1 loop for rFactor and Assetto Corsa. No night in AC, but it's the best we can get to a next gen TXR game atm 👍



Also, could this thread's title be changed to TXR General Discussion or something? Since it's been a while and there isn't any concrete proof that Genki is even considering rebooting the franchise.

well...there's also a C1 mod for SLRR. quite awesome, if you ask .

anyway, im having a issue here, going back to the topic of setting up cars in games like C1 GP or TXRD2. let's say that im suffering a power issue. i went nuts with this car that i call "Monsuta Impreza" and you can guess why. the issue is...how can i win with this car at low speed circuits? (stupid question because the answer is obvious: "dont use it") and also, i have a few issues with the torque, as well as with the cornering. i use MT because the AT is weak in terms of the torque of the engine, and im also having issues with the fact that the cornering itself, even at high speed tracks like Osaka, it oversteers like hell. and seriously, i dont even know how to set up the friggin suspension so...any suggestions? or at least teaching me how to set up the suspension? :'''v

Yeah, I gotta say out of all the TXR games, I think ITC had some of the best designs for the characters. Not to everyone's taste, but definitely unique.

You can change your name, but it depends what opponent name you'll choose. I'd much rather make my own character with my own unique car.

Well if you compare the first videos on the channel to the more recent, you can see there's a huge difference.

It is RE-Amemiya. The rear is the AC987 rear end conversion (as seen on the Super GReddy VIII like my avatar and some other demo cars), and the front looks like it could be a modified Adfacer front end. The hood is also the AD Hood R with three extra vents on the front.

I've signed up a year ago and the moderator still haven't activated my account. Activating account from admin side? What is this rubbish? There's absolutely no need for this! I saw a thread there asking why isn't the forum more active, which can be easily answered with "Because your obese sloth of a moderator is too lazy to get off his gluteus to activate the pending accounts."

And I'm not the only one, IIRC KazaMR2 also signed up for it a while ago and it's still not accepted so who knows how many people have signed up to join only to never get accepted. I propose we start a new forum so people don't have to put up with this bs.

I have made an account there, but no activity as of yet. That is where my research is going on in TXR.
