I am getting little bored with GT6 Seasonal Events. I think they are too similar. Well.. at least the track changes.

Why not make it more interesting by restricting the car choices by year or by continent or by country or something else. And change the PP also.

The highlights for me has been the "Formula Gran Turismo Super Lap" and in particular, "GT500 Super Lap". More like these!!!

I agree with you 100%. There needs to be more varibles than just the PP level. (which is broken in my opinion) Events by manufactor, country, drivetrain- etc etc etc. the list can go on forever. There's over 1,200 cars in the game let's use them, not just recycling the same ones over and over.

Yeah I know you aren't forced to use just the top car in these open-ended PP events but it might as well be an event only for that top car. Just my worthless .02¢. :)

GT5 had the same problems - Tsukuba was always in the seasonals - GT6 should have the player garage/car lending. If you don't have car it should be provided stock on the racing ones, not every one has 2/3M lying around for formula cars for a one off event - I'd rather spend my cr on a superbeast that i can use for 10 events for example. I don't want crappy paint chips I want xp and cars - wheres the used car dealership? Wheres the b-spec? Wheres the endurance events? Its a cut down game it gets less and less each release and all the best tracks are missing for 3 years! Polyphony need to get a grip.

450 and 500pp time trials should just be chalked up as one make races - the GSXR/4. I don't even bother with that car. I just see how close I can get with my favorite cars. Right now I need to find a better 500pp car. What I've got aren't cutting it lol. Usually I have no problem getting into the top few hundred with a different car (not ZZII)...but willow calls for a light car, when the light car is fastest.

In the short term why can't PD do what they did in GT5 seasonals where ther were some A - Spec races with varied PP in each, I believe there were about six of these. These also stayed indefinately so you could go back any time with various vehicles and PP.
There were also B-Spec races also with different PP.

The way I'd set it up is.

- A no tuning one make TT, one for street one for race cars.
- Tuning restricted TT for each (ie. Suspension, Brake, LSD, Transmission tuning only)
- PP, weight, HP restricted events. Some with strict restrictions some with almost none.
- A leader board with the combined times from all the available events of that bi-weekly period. You only get added to it if you complete all events.

The seasonal races to me are a bore simply because you are more racing your own time rather than the AI. As far as they can go with the current AI. I'd say bring back the bonus for using lower PP spec'd vehicles and throw tire grade in there as well.

As SJC said it would also be nice if the A-Spec Seasonal Races stayed on the list. Adding races to the lackluster A-Spec catalog and deleting them right after is kind of odd.

TT leader boards should have a place to be viewed well after the event is complete.

I don't like the idea of not being able to tune the cars. That's part of what makes seasonals fun. You have to be a great driver, who can set a car up. People who don't want tuning...there is a reason for that. All I'm going to say. If we couldn't set the cars up, I probably wouldn't bother with another seasonal. That is more boring than everyone using the GSXR/4.

That is why it is only one event per discipline at a time and I know a few people who run no tuning quite often that would laugh at your "reason for that" as they can tune as well. I listed it as GT needs variation. Currently the VGT and releases such as the M4's, FT-1 and that god awful Corvette on Daytona fill that in but almost all the VGT are odd - horrible. The license tests come to mind.

I'm happy they turned off the SRF on most events, that had me ready to leave. For me so far my favorite events have been RX-7 on SSR5, FT-1 at Fuji, that orange Lexus at Nurburgring and the recently passed Senna Lotus and rally at Eiger.

It would be nice to have the seasonals like there was in GT5. There must have been nearly twenty which gives enough scope to please many people, many of these stayed permanently and had a good variety.

I guess the current lacklustre array of events is down to PD's incompetence, indifference or just plain laziness.

I certainly don't expect much to change in the foreseeable future. :banghead:

It would be good also for the TTs if you received the credits everytime you bettered the gold time. For me it would make it worthwhile spending all that time trying for a better time.

The only good thing about seasonal events is the money, lets face it.
Can anyone explain me whats the reward of being n.1, other than being proud of that achievement, you get the same money as a person that got gold.
I think that there sould be at least a PSN trophy for getting a reasonable amout of gold on seanonal events.
What do you guys think?

I like your idea about a trophy (or something) for the top competitor (-s)👍

Otherwise i have do disagree with you: I'm in it for the competition; i don't need a reward afterwards!

I got +20 mio. cr. and i even seldomly do A-spec seasonals! The reason: I got less than 80 cars in my garage atm!
Back in GT5 i collected all the cars -just to make some sort of use for the big prices then. Come to think of it: there were folks here who didn't care at all about prices anymore; their cr's were always at a max and they didn't care to spend any before entering pricegiving events; would you like that to happen Again? By the end of playing GT5, i found out that i had only been driving about a 100 of the +1200 cars i had!

I know that far from everybody is such a TT-addict as i am, so i can see the need for having more cars at your disposal -but you don't need 'em all -and if you think you do; you'll find the time to grind for prices at the current payoutlevel.
I've seen arguments like "i haven't got time to grind for cr's", some even being a bit unneccesarily offensive, saying " I'VE got a life, I'VE got a Family to support...kid!" Well if you ain't got time to play so much, when are you gonna make use of all those cars?

I'm not big fan of this formula B'coz is just to much power. Last on Laguna Seca was amazing,
I'd like to see More of These!

Just curious, has there ever been a Kart time trial? Kart Space would be nuts, finding the last .001 would probably get you 50 spots in the rankings. Shifter Karts too please!!!

No, but it would be good if we did get a Time Trial on Karts. Doodle will get very excited if there was on.

That could possibly the worst idea I have ever heard. You like carts? Go play Mario Kart with the rest of the children.

There was a Kart-TT back in GT5. It generated more than 200.000 participants!!! That's a Whole lot of "children" playing this game!:sly:

Do you remember when in GT5 because I don't remember back then, or it is just getting old and you forget things.

I make my own time trials, because otherwise:

And whoever thinks karts are boring doesn't belong anywhere near a car. Every racecar driver on Earth pretty much learned how to drive, and still enjoys driving, karts.
