Getting bored with GT6 Seasonal Events

Word. There's such a wealth of different car / track combinations in GT6 that... hmm, maybe that's the problem. It's overwhelming, like trying to buy peanut butter. Or toilet paper. Shelves have, like, fifty different damn kinds. Screw it, grab the same 'ol same 'ol. 550pp Tsukuba! Skippy! 500pp Tsukuba! Charmin quilted quadruple roll! 450pp Tsukuba!

Change is scary, but c'mon. Mix it up. Give us challenges that border on lunacy, with car / track combinations that make us want to rip our hair out. One-make series with Enzos at Cote d'Azur. Lupos at the Nordschleife in the dark. Yellowbird rally. Shifter karts at Spa. Zonda Rs in the wet.

Stock or tuned doesn't matter. Do something so stupid it's awesome.

I don't like the idea of not being able to tune the cars. That's part of what makes seasonals fun. You have to be a great driver, who can set a car up. People who don't want tuning...there is a reason for that. All I'm going to say. If we couldn't set the cars up, I probably wouldn't bother with another seasonal. That is more boring than everyone using the GSXR/4.

Tinkering with setups and finding elusive progress is challenging and fun. Getting it just right. Chipping away time. I dig it, whether it be for TTs or A-Spec races. It's rewarding. But... a great driver should also be able to hop into any car on any track and be quick without the luxury of tuning. Not being able to neuter the characteristics of a car that give it its flavor -- as you're forced to wring it out on the track, warts and all -- has a satisfaction all its own. To twist your words at the risk of coming off as snarky: People who want tuning... there is a reason for that.

Keeping it stock also has the benefit of weeding out potential cheaters that keep finding a way to pollute TTs.

That's the kind of free-thinking that will get you thrown in the PD doghouse. They don't have any room for that over there.

I blame all the coffee I put in my sugar. :embarrassed:

OK, time to go knock out some TTs and mutter expletives at the blue lines I can't catch. I swear, those dang things should continue to pay out after you achieve gold.

After reading this thread I can`t believe how unimaginative PD have been. "I wanna try the Senna kart round Laguna" and so many other tracks, get screwed at the corkscrew hehe! But I fully agree with anyone who thinks arcade mode is lame, it needs many more options, I don`t see the point of it apart from test a car against silly opposition for nothing.
It`s all such a wasted opportunity. :(
