Evening everyone,

just thought i'd open a thread cause i believe this deserves to be mentioned.

So my girlfriend was over and i showed her GT5 P and she wanted to drive so i said yea sure why not....

... getting straight to the point, shes only 3.9 seconds slower than the worlds fastest and around 2 seconds slower than me!!

I mean, its the first time ever she played on a PS3, let alone be the first time on GT5 P and in the F2007!!

So right away, why not have a Lady Friend, girlfriend, wife GT5 P competition :D 👍 (also boyfriends are welcome)

I just hope that she doesnt get too addicted and starts playing GT5 more then me.:sly:

Chris

Just hearing the name GT5P sends mine running for the hills

 no surprise there.

Me and my girlfriend tried something akin to Top Gear double decker racing from the episode V the german TV show. She was in control of the pedals (G25) and I had steering, it's pretty awkward but good fun, we even managed some powerslides as I happened to be in my practice drift car when she came in the room.

You are lucky to have a girlfriend....

You are even more lucky to have a girlfriend who is willing to try it...

Mine is not even interested.... at least she respect my choice and let me play it by myself... she even bought me the toy, but she would not touch it.

Anyways, I should try to convince her with Dragonistic's new and more fun way for our other half to participate... The Double Decker .... kind of like a upside down thing...

PS: please do not take my post out of context, it would not sound right at all...

My girlfriend would only drive the mini cooper. :indiff:

That said, I'm not entirely sure if I would want my girlfriend to be that interested in gran turismo. I mean, if she starts getting interested in the things I am into, then she will tell me that I have to start getting interested in the things she is interested in. And I :censored:ing hate musicals. :sly:

I had to do the pedals, so she only had to focus on the steering.

That said, I had my friends round and after a few beverages (perhaps of the alcoholic variety) we decided to do a joint effort at setting a world record at Suzuka in an NSX.

One on the accelerator, one on the Brake, one on the gears (H-shifter), one on the clutch, and one on the steering. Now it may just have been the worst lap of Suzuka, that has ever been seen in a Honda, but it was bloody fun.

Does that qualify for worst drunken Gran Turismo idea?

No, the subsequent 24h of GT4's la sarthe afterwards, coupled with a shot every completed lap, was not only the worst drunken Gran turismo idea, it was probably the worst drunken idea we've collectively ever had.

Suffice to say, we didn't last very long into the race. :ill:

seems like everyone here as its share of fun with their girls hehe.

Something so unbelieveable happened!

She wanted to try to F2007 again but this time at HSR and guess what, she did a 49.9!!! shes like 337th in the world.
She wants to go karting once hehe.

I think she has a great talent, i even showed and explained her what a drift is and how to innitiate one and she did so well in the F430!

Coming weekend i got the 4h Enduro race at the Nurburgring but after that i should be taking her karting and we shall see :D

How about we get our girls online and throw them into the beginnner events :D

That's very impressive! :D.

My fiancée once tried GTR-Evo with my G25, and considering that she still hasn't taken her drivers license, she didn't quite feel at home behind the wheel of the Koenigsegg 💡

After trying out GTR, she hasn't been willing on trying out GT5:P, I sort of understand her :dopey:

You got that right! :D

I once showed my girlfriend a picture of a G25 (I don't have one, just a DFP) and she said something along the lines of "Hey, that looks like it could be fun". I guess she sees the G25 as "closer to reality" which appeals more to her. DFP does look toyish and maybe she isn't very inclined to try it.

Are there any ladies who post on the forum regularly?

Most women I know look at GT and ask...what IS the point?

I only know of about 5 or 6, only two of whom post regularly.

You got that right! :D

The G25 certainly looks more professional, and combined with the fancy looking vision racer rig I've got, it certainly catches the eye, seemingly with mixed results, some girls find it cool, some girls find it extremely sad (most notably my housemates). Ultimately though, even if a just a few girls want to come into my room and test drive my cockpit, I'm fine with that :sly:

Given you're girlfriend sounds impressively good, I don't think there will be any competition. :scared:

...even from me. :nervous:

Seriously good luck in the race Chris. 👍

This sounds fun...unfortunately my GF doesn't do so well with racing games. She'd whup y'all at Sims or Bedazzled, though! :ill:

I don't know, I'm pretty darn good at the Sims.

Oops, shouldn't have admitted to that. :embarrassed:

 The Sims is just... ahh!! Can't stand it. Kicking garbage cans doesnt compare with driving and F2007 at Fuji with a manny tranny.

No girlfriend here, or any other females in the house that could even drive for 5 seconds without crashing, but if I gave my dad a go, I think he could probably come close to me. But, you're girlfriend sounds mighty quick! She might even be close me as well in the F2007 :scared:. But the F2007 is a bit easy to drive for anyone, give her something a bit harder to drive, like the Ford GT LM :mischievous:. And don't tell her about the lift off oversteer, surprise her.

hahaha, i cracked it after i read that reply, think is so funny cause its so true.

and @Chris enjoy it while it lasts, most times its just a passing fancy that turns from love to hate thats when crazytortise's theory of them running to the hills comes into play.
