Giulietta73's Gallery |Some more comp entries|

I completely forgot you were the creator of the Esprit marriage photo that looks bloody marvelous with the very detailed 3.0 editing. You made a great distinct choice of Honda to use for the PMC. 👍 I believe it was the only standard featured that week?

Well on any ordinary day I would ask for some good scotch, but today I feel a little odd, trying some Vodka and juice, so a refill of that would be ga-reat. Orange juice, to be precise :D
Oh it did not? What a shame? I think it's fantastic.
You loved the Beetle? Was it you who gave me that 1 vote in the poll?
And I thought, people just didn't like it. Glad to know you did lol. It just kind of happened, I remember I was stressed that day, and I liked how the shot looked un-edited. Tried my hand at editing, and felt it was magnificent, in all modesty. Just like that :D

Thanks Eric!👍 Glad you like the 3.0 edit:) The Honda choice was my only option - there were too many great premium entries. It is the only standard - and what a set of headlights eh!!!:dopey:

Unedited for PCM Comp

Still exploring the cross-processor filter at Toscana. Chose the colour of the F1 with the CP filter in mind. And a personal challenge of getting a standard in the frame and it to look good - bring on the Saleen S7!!
I played with the curves of the cars and the curves of the hills - I wanted them to be seamless, going from one to the other...

^^Yeah, running out of time this weekend for GT5 activities!!!:(
I lowered the pp right down and it gave me a fairly good field, but when I saw the Saleen, I saw a fresh challenge - but I couldn't make the Saleen work as the main focus, had to rely on distance and focus to smooth it out a little!!

Very great bokeh shots 👍 Love this kind of things, they look like painting :)
I agree with my comrades, the first is maybe the best one but I like also the third 👍
Yourt unedited shot is also really great, superb sky, great angle !
And I love the rendering of your edit on the Eiger set 👍

You've posted so much great stuff lately, Giulietta73. I especially like the first image from this set. :)
Thanks a lot:tup: I was pleased with that bokeh image too:)

Nice 300sl shots. Love the colour of it and my fav is the last shot. 👍
Thanks GPR. I was going for that misty slightly desaturated look. The paint chip is cherry black (or black cherry) and it worked really nicely - would flit between dark red and black.
Thanks Ciro:tup:
Last shot is really great  Love all bokeh shots, but the most favorite is first one 👍
Thanks a lot SM:tup:

Thanks Jérémy. The sky in Toscana is superb - especially through the CP filter:tup:

This next shot is a small experiment inspired by TV coverage of Le Mans.
What's the phrase? "Done, but with errors on the page!"

leMans haze2 by Giulietta37, on Flickr

I wanted to recreate the heat haze-mirage effect on the tarmac.
Using simple cut'n'paste, flip & rotate, I got all the bits in position. Then added a ripple effect to get them to shimmer. I added some 'spread' and 'noise' on the reflections but that didn't work, so I went for some gaussian blur. Then the usual curves and toning/contrast etc.

Some parts worked really well - I like the car coming out of an indistinguishable horizon, and the initial car reflection. But the rest - I couldn't quite marry the reflections in the foreground into the tarmac. I might go back and ripple the tarmac too.
But on first sight, I think the impression is in the right area.

Really loving the After marketd tuners picture, mixing the blue front paints is a nice idea. The white Z28 looks so nice, efficient use of the gas station. The wedding edit is one of your best work, we can really fell the "just married" mood. Impressive unedited rendering shot. Excellent vertical pics, bokeh is the word wow. The McLaren and Saleen (hope this will be a premium car in gt6) is wisely taken, really loving the Arizona endless straight road spirit. Beautiful foggy SL pics, the best weather in the game. Bravo Eric 👍

Great S2K pics Giulietta 👍. The only negative thing I can say is that they could use a little less sharpening. Otherwise, they are awesome 👍👍.

Not bad mate, I found Fuji a hard place to get to look great, the light is very harsh on that track. But I think you did pretty well. I like the last shot best. 👍

I agree with hgrf though the sharpness of the edges has produced a few spots of artifacts. And also it's a shame some of the shadowing on the car in thr first car are a bit dodgy, but that ain't your fault. ;)

Nice set with that S2K. I really love the atmosphere of the first : great composition 👍
Nice angle and great rendering of the track in the second one :)

Nice work, Giulietta73. The combination of toning and composition creates a really nice atmosphere in the first shot. Lighting and focal length are spot on, as well. ;)

Great work on the Le-mans haze. Very creative and it's the first of it's kind I've seen around here!

I agree with George, Fuji is a hard place to get some good shots. But that set is very nice, love the first and the the third. Especially that glow in the sky, creates a great atmosphere! :)👍

Although the haze picture could be polished up a bit more, it's a really, really nice picture and very original concept. I might have to try that sometimes.

And the first shot of the Amuse set's amazing. LOVE the tones.

Love everything you've posted lately.. That Spoon shot is still one of my favorites.. It makes me smile everytime
Thanks Ziggy, that means a lot!! There's always a soft spot for a Honda Jazz/Fit!!

Thanks hgrf93, yeah, guilty as charged! I found a sharpening tool called 'freaky detail' and got carried away:banghead:

Thanks GPR. There's always a good feeling getting a shot to work on a duff track. Cheers man!

Thanks Sean, I tried to turn the harsh sun into soft mist. Glad you think its worked:tup:

Thanks Taiga. I hadn't seen any heat mirage pics here, so I thought I'd have a bash. There's still a long way to go, but I'm pleased with the potential of it.👍
