You call PD a Mediocre developer and then mention those two titles?
Sorry but if there was ever an actual example of mediocre, PD is nowhere near it with the likes of EA still around pumping out rehashes on a yearly basis.
This!

That is hilariously ironic. It's... it's... que le fook?Kaz's answer is that of an uncertain 5 yr old. "It may or may not make it." Dude, you're a developer. Make it happen.
As a former customer of EA, I can pretty verify how often anything "Changes" in their games so to compare PD to them is hilarious and further illustrates my belief of how irrational the rage is. It would not surprise me if PD somehow end up on a "Worse company" pole or something (with the likes of Halliburton and what not), all because they didn't have improved sounds.

I know right? Like putting PD up as worse company ever just, because of sounds, will do any justice...... Humans... *shakes head*
And the rage as well. Oh brother. >_>
So, you are arguing that PD is not on the same level as EA as a great thing?
It's like saying "yes, they're can't manage development cycles, they can't improve basic aspects of the game and, yes, GT6 won't get new sounds on day one (maybe even on the forseeable future). But, hey, at least PD is not as bad as EA is".
CoolColJEven GTA 5 has nice warble on the gear changes and the down shift throttle blips sound really satisfying!![]()
I'm fairly sure that Gran Turismo attracts more sensible people in general than CoD.It is indeed amazing it hasn't yet. Seriously though. If that was worth to happen just because of sounds, then I'll lost all faith in humanity and GT fans. Who will be butthurt enough to do something like that?
Atleast we're getting better sounds people.

We get angry over the fact that we have crappy sounding cars, Kaz says we'll get new sounds, probably in an update
People get angry over the fact that we MIGHT get them in an update for GT6. Calling PD mediocre.
I just don't understand.
I don't understand either bud. I'll still say that it's great that Kaz himself came out and specifically said they're working on the sounds, then bring them in via update. I see nothing wrong with that.
PD shouldn't even be considered mediocre just because of sounds... I can't believe one will think that even though their not getting GT6 anyways. >_>
People need to change their perspective.
Instead of being angry that we don't get sounds from day 1, why not be happy that we may get them in an update before GT7?
It's not like being mad will make the sounds get fixed faster. They obviously know that it's one of our top priorities and are working on it. Why would anybody choose to be upset over this when they could just change perspective and be happy?
Because again, that's not what he said. He said "might" and "possible" concerning new sounds in an update, not as you assert that they WILL bring them in in an update. If you're going to refer to what he said, at least be accurate.
Why do I need to change my perspective? There is no greater incentive for a developer to make changes than customer anger, expressed through the cash register, resulting in lower than expected sales volumes. If sales are down and the common complaint in reviews and customer feedback is the sounds just aren't good enough, then I'll guarantee you that it'll get fasttracked. Being mad, if it's mad enough, will get it done quicker.

I'm frustrated because with no apparent updates to sound or ai (and potentially not the menu system or paint system) there are no features yet that convince me GT6 is a new game and couldn't have been gt5 spec C or whatever.

There is no proof of that though, they may hold it off and give it to GT7. It's a bit of an apologist type of speak, where one tells us to hold on because we may still get it for the current item or you may not. Telling us to look at the glass half full doesn't change the fact that their is no QC or QA management.
Though I agree, being mad wont change the fact sounds are still bad nor does it speed up the process however it does increase the real world ability that people may turn away from GT6 until it is fixed.
Just because he said might and possible working on the sounds, doesn't mean they aren't going to do it at all. Just be glad that Kaz AT LEAST acknowledges the sound issue, ugh....![]()
It's not even a glass half full analogy. The glass is in the other room and you can't see it and Kaz is standing in the doorway saying, "There might be a glass in the next room, it's possible, and it might be half full, or it might not. I might fill it in the next year or two, or I might wait until the next game to do it, technically I can do either. Now go and buy that glass of water"
So you think that they aren't working on a way to try and fix it as quickly as they can right now? That's a pretty silly statement as I know you know better than that. PD isn't perfect but they've clearly acknowledged that they're working on it and considering the sound people haven't done anything else, I don't see why we should believe they're on vacation right now.
Getting mad will just cause a rushed product, which is something everybody complained about before. Maybe if a few of us learned patience then we'd be better off.
I'm not trying to justify how long it takes PD to do things, I'm just saying that there's other games to play, and there's other things for us to do than get angry at a game developer because they can't fix things fast enough.
Well you could assume that, but comments made by the group and history show a different story as far as sound goes. We've been told by the same group that sound was perfect and too good. Which one could gleam that due to our mortal ears compared to those at PD we couldn't appreciate such great exhaust notes, thus they need to dumb it down for us now. Also you could look at the fact that PD have been wrestling with sounds for 15+ years now and though they have had it better than other times, it has never been realistic.
We know GT5 was called rushed by PD, but we also know that Sony was pushing for GT5 to finally be released which was the fault of the fans still (supposedly). That was five years that took and this is 2 years for GT6.
We got several delays from GT5
