Missing reflection =(
That was the first thing I did when I took my Diablo to that location. When I saw no reflection in the camera view, I thought for sure it was to reduce lag, and they would render it when the picture was taken. I mean how hard can it be to render an upside-down car? Apparently too hard.

Other locations have windows with dynamic reflections, but I guess that division of PD apparently didn't realize that people would bring cars to these places.

The square sun can be 'fixed' by selected the monochrome filter and then back to normal - this removes flares. If you use the warm filter it activates flares and you get the square sun again as the lense flare is the offender.
At least this has been my experience so far.

Glitched camera position at Mount Panorama...

Reflections in puddles were definitely in GT5, so they did do it...just not there by the look of things - more a continuity error I think :sly:

I haven't had the chance yet to look yet but someone should see if the track "dropout" issue is still occurring at the first mulsanne chicane when looking back up the track.

Look, there's a crash up ahead!!

Except there are no cars ahead! :boggled:
All the cars are together - it's just a phantom poof of smoke from the future!!

Here they are, moments later arriving, and the crash actually taking place.

This is a problem I have found with photomode when viewing replays of crashes using the rewind.
You watch the crash, you rewind it to watch it again, and pause just before the crash... and you see the crash smoke on its own ahead of the cars, where the crash took place but the cars haven't crashed yet.
The tire streaks on the pavement also appear... before the cars have made them.

This happened in GT5, and still does in GT6.

Noticed this on brands hatch. When you are at the top of druids looking down, if you move left or right, you'll notice that the background changes from a horrible looking texture to nice clean one. Youll see it better if you try it.

Interesting. IMO the top one looks more lifelike due to it not being clean and perfect.

LOD bugs aside, the square lighting glow is really annoying me.
Can't take any nice shots at dawn or dusk, because the headlights are having that effect.
I really hope they patch that, ruined some really good pictures from me already.

See @nato777 response above. I haven't gotten to try it yet but seems like a simple enough fix for the moment. I remember changing filters in GT5 then changing back would really mess with lighting too but at least this time it seems to have beneficial effects.

But it removes flares completely, which I don't want either.
I don't mind flares, glaring and glowing from light sources, I actually like that.

Indeed, yes they have. :(
I know people say we really should not be critiquing PD, but really.....this is an improvement?
Nah, I didn't think so either. :indiff:

Also just ran a night race @ the 'Ring.
Um....the AI cars do NOT display a light beam. Could explain their erratic driving.
It's like, their lights are on, but no one is home.....if you know what I mean.
Will post a couple of pics in the coming days.

Edit:
Ok, so the pics are not the best being night driving, but you can clearly see the AI lights, or lack of...

Kinda weird is all I'm thinking, or another short cut by PD. :irked:

I've noticed this too. I think it has to do with limitations of the PS3 system. Lighting calculations are very complex and it seems probable that the PS3 just can't handle calculating lighting for the headlights of every car on the track and PD had to compromise.
