Did High Speed ring have 3d grass in Prologue?
It does in this trailer

The new Rome will probably have the old Rome track as a variant I'm sure. They already have the whole location modelled just about
That goes for all the city tracks

Here's a better pic:

supergtt1.jpg

The first one is the YellowHat Nissan GT-R, the second is RX-7 RE Amemiya

from what i can tell the night scene is of a japanese highway. its the same as tokyo extreme racer/wangan midnight

I am super stunned by this video, I am glad GT is finally coming along and showing us things that we have asked of it.

racecar & dave_sz:
Nope, this one.
350Z.jpg

It's not a gt-r. It's a 350Z I think, maybe not precisely that motul one(which I showed a pic before), but a 350Z nonetheless...

Exactly what I was thinking.

What I'm trying to say is the game looks like it is finished, it is starting to look how it should. All of the polishing work and finalizing they have been doing the past few months is starting to show.

I agree with that. But that's not what irked me. I refer to the "I am glad GT is finally coming along and showing us things that we have asked of it."

Now, I don't speak for everyone, but there's a lot we want to see that we haven't seen much of yet. Damage on production cars, weather. Haven't seen a single drop of rain yet or snow. The list can go on. But we can wait. At least I can ;)

I know I can't wait either, but I said showing us "things" not everything.

but on topic, In that short amount of time shown of the nascar race it seemed as though there wasn't any of that super slipstream. Anyone else notice this?

right, my bad. Got my threads mixed up. It's annoying.
Lokks like the motul but seems to not have enough decals on the door.

Ok, there are a total of 8 cars racing on Tsukuba (1:36), this is what I see:
Calsonic GT-R (blue) @ 1:32
Denso Lexus (white) @ 1:32
another GT-R (red) @ 1:33
another Lexus (blue &yellow) @1:34
YellowHat GT-R @1:34
Castrol Supra @1:34
the other yellow one I'm guessing is the RE Amemiya RX-7 but not 100% sure.

I would agree with this too.

Edit: just think guys. If they hadn't delayed it, we would be less than a month away from release. :(

but we don't know whether the car is from 2008.
not all the supergt cars are from that year.
I give up. Looked back a few years and none of the cars look exactly like it.

in the time trial - it goes left, right, left and then right onto the oval

here it looks like - left, right, and another right, left and then right onto oval

it looks like it curves back around the tree again in the pic
Could be they modelled the motorcycle track as well.
Assuming, this image of the gallardo:

relates to this position in real life:

Then this should give an idea of what part of the track will look like:

It's worth pointing out, that these aren't the same layouts as the rome circuits in GT3. However, some parts of the same road are used in both layouts. Is it possible we could see multiple Rome circuits?

[edit]

For reference, I threw in the old Rome track map from GT2/3. The old track is in red. The new part of the track that is known is in green.

Hope this is useful. 👍
And here it is finished, yellow is the pits.

Going on a huge hunch, lol.

If I were to guess at a most likely track layout, I would have to go with that too.
