Well, PD have managed to make pitlanes in even the most impossible places before (eg. Broadway). Anyway, I'd say most of the other roads would be too narrow for racing. There's no where to cut into the middle without losing the pit lane.
Yes there is, look veeeeeeeeeeeeery closely at the rear quarter panel area, you can see it.Yeah, but not that livery, there's no silver bevel on the car in the trailer.
That night track looks like SSR5 to me. The section with the SLS coming out of the tunnel might be an updated version of this part of the track (highlighted in green). If I remember correctly, the road goes down and up so they might have added a small tunnel to give a fresh look of the track.

Also, this screen shows (IMO) the part where the track goes over itself with the highlighted part in green below .

I know I can't wait either, but I said showing us "things" not everything.
but on topic, In that short amount of time shown of the nascar race it seemed as though there wasn't any of that super slipstream. Anyone else notice this?
What I'm trying to say is the game looks like it is finished, it is starting to look how it should. All of the polishing work and finalizing they have been doing the past few months is starting to show.
in the time trial - it goes left, right, left and then right onto the oval
here it looks like - left, right, and another right, left and then right onto oval
it looks like it curves back around the tree again in the pic
I can't speak for every form of racing, but I know in NASCAR it's called "the draft" or "drafting", and in America in general the term "slipstream" is for kids who "learned" from video games, particularly, NFS. just fyi
The term "slipstream" is widely used across the world and perfectly normal, i know that "drafting" is used as a term within NASCAR, but i always thought that the difference in terminology was that drafting is not just slipstream but also a technique on how to exploit it.
But correct me if i'm wrong.
What he said is true, because they race alot on ovals in NASCAR. And on ovals you don't need (alot of) downforce, they even use it to gain ground, so the term "draft" is used more. In e.g. Formula racing though, you have lots of corners where you actually need downforce. If you get caught in the slipstream with a formula car just before a corner, you don't get enough downforce. Which eventually makes your car slip, that's why it is called a slipstream.
Does the Indianapolis track run anti-clockwise in Nascar? Because at the trailer, the cars have the wall on their right side, while in time trial it was on the left side of your car.
That night track looks like SSR5 to me.
Yes, it is Anticlockwise (you know Nascar can only turn left, right?), the same direction for all Nascar oval tracks.
Ok I didn't know that about the Nascar in Indianapolis going anticlockwise. Thanks!
However I'm very doubtful on your statement that nascar can only turn left, since they race, for example, in other kind of tracks as Infineon, with left / right turns.
Yes there is, look veeeeeeeeeeeeery closely at the rear quarter panel area, you can see it.
It's not the "first car" of the team, cause it's got the red roof.
If any of you are familiar with Wangan. I think the night shots are part of the C1 loops of the tokyo highway instead of the old sr5 or sr11.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, I think it may have.. But This tunnel shot doesn't look like the tunnel at the first corner of Route 5.. but something different, this tunnel looks longer and appears to have an exit going off the the right, which looks blocked (meaning the track goes left).
I've marked in red what I mean.
