Great race there in Lobby B. I still hated it that I had a great start but ended up collecting the wall in turn 2 while running P5. Either way, it's one of my most hated tracks in that reverse direction.

Other than that, I've had a relatively clean race despite some struggle with end of tire life and some sliding around. The fuel consumption is really aggressive here, had to keep it extremely lean to cut down on some sensitive sliding on the car.

I guess the final moments are hilarious, but still a decent result and to bring the car home. Looking forward to the next one!

Results from last night's race posted below, along with updated point status.

🤬:banghead:

I was very tired and stuggled to keep focus and eyes open. At the end of lap 12 I crashed into the pit lane entry and couldn‘t go into the pits. I had damage and run out of fuel and so i left the race. :(

I’m sorry to hear that man that’s frustrating. Nothing worse than getting tangled up in the most inconvenient places.

Pretty rough weekend for TPC Racing. 1 DNS, 1 DNF, and 1 P5 finish in lobby. I ran 4th the majority of the race. I saw @Neutty kept putting on supers so on the last run I said F it and threw them on myself. I tried my best to hold off @aceboy127 in the closing laps but he was on 1 lap fresher tires and got by me with half a lap to go beating me by .500. I wish I was brave enough (or practiced more) to just have supers on from the beginning. I thought they wore just the same as the softs if not better.

Ran the mock race and lack of grip allowing the car to slide around was destroying the tires, and actually wore more than the supers were. I was worried I was going to have to run the mediums because of that. I stumbled upon supers during the mock after I hit the bridge. I was going to see what kind of time I was able to make up/lose to Sam by going 2 lap stints. I noticed I had plenty of wear for a 3rd lap. So I went for it. I made it to the last 3 turns and really started to slip, but with softs it was much worse earlier in the 3rd lap. So I made the decision to go with supers. I focused on the exit of the corners and tried to allow the car to not slide. Somehow it worked. I feel like I had the race won as I wasn’t ready to push the car until the 3rd lap. I also had the fuel for it. Then turn two happened, on the final lap. I had to take that turn much different than the first 2 laps of a stint. (I forgot!!!) then I had to use the “stashed” fuel to run down dam again, and ran out on the front straight. It was a TON of fun @SAMHAIN85 we literally were less than a second for the entire race!! Btw, I was tempted to run the EVO Gr.3 last night, and I tested a run on supers and the car couldn’t handle it.

The new tire wear/fuel combo has been interesting this season. It’s different yet still the same. In the mock I tried a 2 stop race on hards just to see how it would play out. It probably would’ve worked a lot better on supers as long as I didn’t over drive it. I like trying different tire/fuel strategies but it seems like it always comes back to running supers at 80-90%.

I can run supers anywhere else honestly. This was a one off for me.

P7 grid and finish? Must've been my best qualifying and result so far. Though it does not match the true result considering we have changes in the participation.

And though I honestly didn't drive in that circuit in that configuration before...did the other way round in one of my single player races.

See the trick is in hitting your marks every single lap. Yea you can supers but it comes at a cost the minute you abuse the tires same with softs... it really comes down to fuel usage

Yeah I thought the new tire wear would open up more tire compound strategies but it seems it has just put a greater emphasis on tire management with the same fuel strat.

Are the 2 drop race results are replaced by the 2 top results or ?
Your lowest two scores are dropped for the season. If a driver races all 12 races his top 10 scores count towards the points.
This weeks results drivers with 4 races have 2 low scores dropped. Drivers with 3 have one low score dropped. Basically everyone is scored on 2 races at this weeks interval.
Next week will be 3 of 5, etc.

Hey guys, any suggestions on what I can do to actually complete a race?
I used to have tons of issues with this game. I'd get randomly disconnected, had trouble entering lobbies, got stuck on grid etc. Still not sure why it happens, but I can offer a solution that worked for me and that's a VPN. It's solved 95% of my connection issues with GTS.

Using a proper/legit service is a must, so it's not going to be free, but more than worth it for me. I've used many and paid the price for them, but I highly recommend ExpressVPN. They offer a money back guarantee, so you can cancel within the trial period and you'll be fine if it doesn't work out. This isn't a plug or anything, it's just a great service. I think it's worth a try and I have a feeling it's going to solve your issue as it did mine.

I once did a rebuild on my PS4 database after the All Star event since I was consistently stuck on the grid.

Probably you would want to try that.

I've done a much different strategy this season, considering that I'm too slow and aggressive on the tires. Sometimes they do help me shave off a pit stop at the expense of a lot of pace.

I should try going aggressive in some races that I'm confident in.
