Added to team roster.
Regarding teams: Now is probably a good time to start thinking about keeping your team in tact, adding or subtracting drivers or dismantling the team all together.
We will keep team formation/announcements open until FRIDAY JANUARY 31ST, midnight. You have up until this time to formally (or informally) announce your team name and drivers. Last year we had 8 teams competing, lets see if we can get a few more. Currently three teams on file.

1) Death Wish Coffee Racing Team
2) R-Sport
3) Bad Falcon GT (BFGT)

Basic guidelines below:

  • Teams no longer have to run the same color or sponsor although we do encourage drivers to do that it is not mandatory.
  • Teams have now been bumped to allowing 3 drivers per team with the highest 2 being scored in that weeks points.
    • We have abandoned the rule of having 1 bronze and 1 silver but with that being said when getting a team together you must have at least 1 member in a separate class to eliminate super team.

I wish to lodge a complaint on behalf of all drivers concerning Super Teams. Death Wish Coffes seems to be outspending the competition. Not only are they throwing tons of cash behind three drivers, but they've somehow even secured a second manufacturer. I believe this puts the rest of the field at a total disadvantage. As much as I hate to say it, I suggest the ARL BOD strongly consider the implementation of a spending cap to ensure an even playing field on track.

Thank you for your time and attention to this important matter.

Hope this gave y'all a smile and brightened your day a bit.

NASCAR fantasy league used a system for setting a roster based on a $ amount. You had "$100" to spend each week and each driver was worth a certain $ amount depending on their average performance. This meant that you had to try and use up all your $100 to set a 5 driver team. The best drivers were worth ~ $27-$28 and a minimum of $5. Typically you would set a roster with 2 best drivers, 1 medium and 2 low end drivers. It just depended on who you wanted to pick and how the numbers added up. Maybe we could do something similar to build teams?

I want to play fantasy ARL.

On that note...NASCAR season is fast approaching! There is a fantasy game in the official NASCAR app that I typically participate in every season. I could create a league for ARL and post the link in here for everybody to join in. It is free to play unless people do side bets on their own. It's a lot of fun and makes the races more engaging.
