I would agree with this 100%, and it can be directly credited to the pre-race confirmation process. I'd like to thank everyone for following the procedure and moving around so quickly. Qualifying for both lobbies started right on time. Nice job gentlemen, it worked out really well.
Congrats to our lobby winners @Herimopp89 and @SAMHAIN85!

Even after two bone-headed, self inflicted mistakes last night, had a great time running with you guys. Had a great 2-lap battle with nog at the end. It was so refreshing post race and here in the forums not to see a flood of whiny, pissy posts from entitled brats screaming you bumped me, you spun me, etc. I think I may have found a home here at ARL. Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming, looking forward to see what's in the future for the league.

@wbhumphries we did go at it pretty well for the last 2 laps. I’m glad you enjoyed your first race and shed “the rookie” stripes as you stated earlier. Hope to see you on a regular basis.
Also check out our GR4 series that will be starting up Tuesday night. I think you’d enjoy that one too. Lots of familiar faces there.

May do that. Will only get to run it every other week. My work schedule has me out of town Tue-Thur every other week, but I might have to jump into that one as well.

Glad you enjoyed it man that's what we aim for everyone having a good race and having fun look forward to more races with everyone

@damonc84, I see you're from NOLA. I'm guessing you spend a good bit of time off Nicolle Blvd in Avondale?

I actually use to work there up until about 3 years ago. I was one of the managers of the Kart Racing programs and did Timing & Scoring for the NASA races on the big track.

We're there every couple of years for One Lap of America. Fun track to drive and a lot more technical than it appears to be.

*REMEMBER WILDCARD RACES ARE DOUBLE POINTS*
Also review the confirmation process
ARL WILDCARD RACE Rules and Regulations:

The following guidelines will be implemented ASAP to bring some structure and regulation concerning the ARL Wildcard Races. As you all know, these three (3) events hold significant importance and value during the ARL season, as double championship points are on the line.

To make this fair and rewarding for our active drivers, the BOD (Board of Directors) will be making the following changes starting with the next Wildcard Race (scheduled for Saturday, February 23rd, 2019).

  • Wildcard Races are an exclusive event in the ARL. To reward our FULL-TIME drivers, they will be given priority when setting up the initial grid of drivers. In other words, if your status is FULL TIME by the Wildcard Race weekend, you will be guaranteed a spot on the grid.

  • The balance of the grid will then be set by our PART TIME drivers.

  • In the event we have more than 16 FULL TIME drivers prior to any Wildcard Race weekend, two (2) lobbies will be established to accommodate AND REWARD ALL DRIVERS.

  • Lobby placement will be randomized amongst the FULL-TIME drivers, followed by the PART TIME drivers.

  • You MUST announce your intent to race the Wildcard no later than the THURSDAY of the event. This will allow adequate time for grid and lobby determinations. If you do not state by Thursday, then you will not be considered for the event.

  • Your intent to race announcement should be made on the GTPlanet forum or the PSN group chat.

  • PART TIME driver eligibility will be based on current point standings, allowing the driver with the most points priority on the grid, followed by the next highest, etc.

  • Starting position on the grid will be set by reverse championship point standings, with the lowest FULL-TIME driver on the pole. Subsequent positions (2-16) will also be based on point standings and driver status (FT/PT).

  • All FULL-TIME drivers will be placed on the grid ahead of PART-TIME drivers, regardless of point standings.
