My daily driver

So, question about this. Where do I expect to be placed with 20K DR? Just want to know what battles I should pick and what I shouldn't.

You will be placed in a division after a 2-3 race evaluation period. Usually after 2 races we can judge what kind of pace you have but sometimes there may be a wreck that you get wrapped up in and we need that extra race for proper evaluation.

Until then just race as hard and clean as you can. You will still earn points towards the championship while you are being evaluated.

Yes sir. Only driving aid allowed is ABS and the only tuning is your brake ballast.
Thank god I chose the Lexus. I ran a few laps without TCS, and running 2nd gear on exits seems to solve the problem on most corners, others I'll just try to throttle control. Worn tires though...I'll probably be slower than usual because of compromised corner exits and I'll pit more times than normal too. DL for me then.
Oh well, as long as I don't spin it's a win for me!

WOAHWOAHWOAH!
No TCS?!
I'll die on L1T1.
Basically we do this without TCS, at all. To be honest, TCS actually slows you down on a sweeping corner and slower exit speed. Try practicing controlling the throttle on turns (also on grid start because its mandatory too, I learned it the hard way when I first started the ARL) and with time, you'll actually get faster lap times than with TCS.

Driver aids are a cruel mistress, they give with one hand and take with the other :lol:

@AfraidRacer there is a driver training and information lobby before the mock lobby, opens 3 hours before race time if you wish to learn more about the league/series or get some tips!:cheers:

Driver aids are a cruel mistress,

Traction control is the worst invention ever made. It is the beginning of one of the many many other reasons drivers are terrible today.

Funny thing, I don't let my son play with any of the driving aids either. He knows "It's a racing/driving game. That means manual only and no driving aids. If you spin out and wreck then you spin out and wreck. This is the best medium for you to learn without hurting yourself or other people." Lol

I totally understand, and have no problems learning to drive without TCS(been procrastinating on that actually) but don't real GT3s have TCS too?

Race starts at 9:15 in the morning for me, will definitely try to join the practice lobby. Can you send me an FR? PSN is same as here.

They do! In my opinion though, Gran Turismo’s not too great about TCS. It doesn’t feel too bad though on sims like Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. I think GT over exaggerates it a bit.

I should clarify it opens 3 hours before but you can hop in anytime, it runs until the mock lobby. No problems at all if you just hop in closer to race time!

Gt really over plays the traction control in this game iracing assetto corsa have that down if you ask me project cars honestly always felt kind of arcadey to me doesn't meen i never had any good races there though.

Also tonight my status has changed to tentative pick up a shift from 4 to 8 but could be longer

The Lexus is a good choice man, it can really carry corner speed well and is 1 of my favorite cars to drive. You will quickly learn TCS holds you back and once you get use to it you'll notice your lap times will improve alot, this is a great group of guys that help anyone who needs it so if you have any questions ask away man
