Breaking news:

An anonymous source inside Lamborghini headquarters in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy has informed us that driver @PApunk924 has been brought in for a special meeting.

Its no secret that Lamborghini has not been happy with @PApunk924 as of late. His poor showings at Barcelona and Monza along with his fight with a fellow driver in the paddock after the Monza race have not impressed Lamborghini management. Sources tell us this could be the final straw in their brief but tenuous relationship.

We have just learned that driver @PApunk924 has been released by Lamborghini. Officials from inside Lamborghini headquarters were able to give us some info behind the departure.

Negotiations over the remainder of @PApunk924 contract were at a stalemate for most of the day. Later this evening Lamborghini's parent company Audi had to come in and settle the dispute.

While the fine details have yet to be disclosed we do have access to some of the primary points. @PApunk924 agreed to void his current contract in exchange for one of @Cornbread243 Audis from last season. Insiders state he demanded the one with the least amount of coffee stains on the seat.

The only other known stipulation was enough funding to compete in Saturday's race at Sardegna while he tries to obtain a major sponsor for the remainder of the season.

@PApunk924 has yet to respond to our calls for a comment on his current situation.

Never drink and drive kids. You may spill your Black Rifle Coffee. And that would be a crying shame. I'm sorry to hear @PApunk924 insisted on one of my old R8's, I think all of them ended up with a twisted chassis. Poor guy would've been better off continuing to drive the Heifer-ghini for free.
 
Thanks for all the support guys, this looks to be a pretty good community! I'm still yet to pick a car, have to do some testing and practice. I don't think I am creative enough to come up with a backstory/contracts like you guys though! :lol:

WTF is Black Rifle Coffee, and do you have any mandatory decals/ARL logos I can find for a livery?

Inside ARL caught up with DrSpyderPig during practice at the beautiful island of Sardegna to get his opinion on the recent negotiations between Lamborghini and @PApunk924. "I can't say I'm surprised" he said, "the Slowbruhghini is a decent car but, I guess PA just wasn't ready for the challenge, maybe next season".

When asked to speak about PA's possible move to a last season Audi, he had a few more words than we're used to hearing from him: "now, that I'm surprised about, why would he agree to that? It's basically the same car, besides, I've heard rumors about those cars, apparently you have to keep the steering wheel turned 105° left to get the car to go straight (*giggles*). They did always look nice, so I guess there's that." We thought he was done but then he continued: "he should've talked to Ford, the car is great and I'm sure Ford would've paid whatever fine those stuck up Italians have in the fine print for early termination; Ford is the best, there's a reason Ford has won the..." We had to cut him off as we were running short on time and wanted to ask how the current practice session was going, to which he responded "it's ok" and walked away.

Well, that's all folks, we'll now wait for the next press release where we'll hopefully find out what car @PApunk924 will be driving in the next race.

Can someone tell me how teams and divisions work? Can I enter as my own team? Can I join a team even if I have my own livery? How do I know which division I am in? Can I be in a team with a different car as the other members? I'd like to join @GTP_Guido 's team in a car with my own livery if possible.

No problem!! So teams are optional, you don't need one but it is fun to join one. Divisions is dependent on driver, after 2-3 races you will be placed by the BoD on merit and results. You will need at least one team mate to make a team, but you can totally join a team with your own livery but that depends on who you choose as team mates, some like to run matching designs others dont really care. Cars can be different for each team member, our team chooses to run same cars but thats not mandatory by any means. As for joining Bulls & Arrows, ill let them answer that :cheers::cheers:

A new entrant, AfraidRacer, has signed with Lexus for the 2nd and 3rd races of ARL season 8. He was seen by eyewitnesses to have brought his own R8 and borrowed an RC F from Emil Frey Racing and tested both against each other.
In a press release after a mildly inconclusive private testing session at the location of this week's race which also included his own Corvette as a benchmark, he revealed that he has a contract with Lexus for every two races.
When asked by interviewers about his choice, he said that the Lexus RC F GT3 was 'very stable' and was the 'safest car' for him at the moment. He has also agreed to a commercial partnership with the company and will be sponsored by AU as long as he will run their cars.
However, he said that he wants to maintain a 'good relationship' with other brands and also has Thrustmaster as a personal sponsor.
When asked about ARL, he said that he is 'looking forward' to joining his first race and promises to drive cleanly.

A reporter with ARL caught up with Moby to get a discussion out of him about the current big changes in arl here is what was said.

R: Moby, it seems PApunk is going to be switching manufactures. How do you feel about that.

M: ...

R: Okay, umm. Do you think he will have a better shot with Audi?

M: He will either be good or bad.


R: How are you prepping to take on the possible new changes in competitors this week?

M: I get in and I drive the car.

R: Do you have any routines to get you ready for the races on the weekend?

M: I put my helmet on. Then I buckle my belts and put my gloves on.

Guys, what tire brand are we using? I’m trying to go for a mix of Japanese and European for my livery, can any of you provide some American sponsors?
