Question about tires
Let’s say there are 4 races left on the season
So I have 4 sets of RS tires
Means that If I start with RS and during the race I pit and use RS again
I already used 2 sets?

meaning that if I do that the next race
the last two races must be raced with RM all the race?
Did I understand the rule?

please advise

I can't get tired of watching that Season 7 highlight video. There goes 13mins of work productivity :D

You nailed it.

There are 3 races remaining so you will have 3 sets of RS to use however you choose. Once they are gone you will only have RM to use for the remainder of the season.

The settings are always geared toward avoiding this, as far as I know, but there are some instances where the game decides to reset the car. This is on PD not allowing cars to take actual designated run offs for missed or blown corners. This will not result in the drivers being held accountable if appropriate attempts are made not to be reset.

This would at times fall under the "out of control" rule, meaning when all control is lost sometimes the car does something the driver does not intend, but lets say you try to full-power and cut a Monza chicane, based on inputs we can see if you made some attempt at avoiding or just tried to blow it, and if the latter's the case that may fall into IR territory.

Under normal circumstances, if you brake, slow down and gradually re-enter the track, there should be no reset, and if that happens its easy to tell if it falls under PD or driver error.

Hope that clears things up for you, any additional questions welcome :cheers:
Thank you for the clarification on this, especially when we have to understand the boundaries of how it's judged a driver or PD-sided decision.

But I'd still love to have a poke at PD with their sometimes-erroneous AI judgment, especially online.

100 % agreed, it sucks for the driver and the drivers trailing them, as you have a car land right in front of you which is bound to make anyone pinch a nugget. We will always look at all the variables and communicate as clearly as possible what our thoughts are concerning penalties or lack there of :cheers:

I was just wondering if the BOD would ever consider a change to the car selection process for next season? I did a quick search on the thread and didn't see anything but if this has already been brought up then please disregard this post, but what about using the overall points at the end of this season for car selection for the next season, so 1st place picks their car first and so on. Obviously a deadline time/date to have the selection made would need to be put in place but I think it would work quite well and eliminate one person speaking for the whole team in one post and taking one entire manufacturer.
And this system would be of no advantage to me really, when you look where I am in points right now, so this isn't a selfish thing at all I just thought it might be a better system then everyone waiting at their keyboards to hit enter.
Again if this is old news and a bad idea, please disregard.

Interesting idea and definitely worth discussing at seasons end. I have made note to bring it up.
