Congrats to all my fellow silver drivers!

Cheers!

Congratulations to the race division winners, and the season league division winners!

Thank you for season 9 despite me not being active in half of the races and disappearing into the abyss. I look forward to season 10.

Meanwhile I should come up with a new design for the season 10 wallpaper (I missed out making one for S9), as well as the rest of the monthly calendars...

Looks like WAR was only 11 pts out of a podium finish. At least we provided more of a fight than the ‘slight scuffle’ we provided last season.

I’d like to thank my two partners in crime @Stryker13 and @scarecrow937 for the great finishes and points they provided! I chipped in a couple showings over the season, but, if we were using my points that usually meant that something dramatic had happened to one of them.

looking forward to next season.

ill finish off with a quote:

‘bring it BITCHES’!

It wasnt an easy Championship this year with the new ballast rules! But I'll take it

The Season 2 and now Season 9 Championship Kmart-Internet car has taken its final checkered. It'll be put out to the pasture (literally, somewhere in the back forty on @Jw_wk1010 's property) and will be retired for good. Thanks for another fun season and thanks to all the organizers. See you guys down the road :gtpflag:

The team championship has been reworked for season 10. Please review the new rules and familiarize yourself with them.

  • Teams will consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 drivers
  • 1 of the drivers on a team must be in a separate division from the other team members
  • Teams are not required to run the same car or livery but may do so if they like
  • All drivers scores will count towards the team championship each week
  • There will be 1 team score drop week per season
  • Teams are allowed a substitute driver if one of their teammates cannot make it for a race
    • Teams are allowed only 2 substitutes per season
    • Substitute drivers must be an active ARL driver in any ARL series
    • Substitute drivers must meet all other team driver criteria
    • Substitute drivers must be announced no later than the Friday prior to the race
    • The substitute driver must drive the absent driver's car

I like the new rules. Thanks to the BoD for putting this together and being forward thinking!!

And thanks to Wild Animals Racing (@Stryker13 and @BPeacock2727) for a super fun season!!

Also, thanks to @SydViscus for the Saturday warm ups, coaching and testing and to all the Gold drivers who took a moment out of their day to show me lines, or correct a bad habit!! (@Moby45 ... you da man!! Thanks for SuperGT help too!)

W.A.R. will return!!

Edit: those championships are adding up in @PApunk924 's signature! We gotta go get 'em boys!! Good luck in gold, PA, and Congrats again!!

W.A.R. BETTER BE RETURNING!!! You guys actually had a pretty good season considering and I think have a good chance of being in the fight for the teams championship this next season. Especially if DrPig gets his act together and stays consistent. You and PeeCawk in Silver should be showing some strength as well. I saw both of you turn out pretty good races especially after 1 or 2 practices with Gold drivers. That being the case, if I am online early enough on Saturdays I will be happy to give you any input and hopefully get you guys setting quicker times and hopefully getting more consistent.

Liking the changes. ESP that all team members contribute. That’ll make it interesting.

thanks again bod!

Appreciate it @Moby45 and will take you up on the offer sometime!

I dig the ingenuity of changing things up and trying to muck things up a bit, but i do have a small concern...starting silver/bronze in front of the golds may muck it up a little more than intended. Maybe reverse gold grid in front of reverse silver/bronze grid may give a similar result and end with less fatalities and early ends to races that could be avoided?

Not a criticism, just a small concern

We went through the same concern process. But ultimately decided to try this out. This is an easy rule to fix, if it were to cause too many problems you just switch it to golds up front.

I am confident in our drivers here that this can work out pretty well. It's the gold class responsibility to be the cleanest and best drivers we have in the league. Not just the fastest.

I understand the concern. Let's see how it goes first. I trust our silvers can handle it.

New qualifying rules:

  • Reverse grid based off of championship standings
  • Gold division to be placed at the rear with silver division at the front
  • Race 1 of the season will have a 10 minute qualifying session on RS tires
    • Pits will be closed during this qualifying session (no damage repairs or tire changes)
  • All subsequent races will be reverse grid
