As a guy that will probably end up at the front of these starts, I'm ok with the reversed grid.
However, I usually see two things that happen. neither of them are intentionally malicious. But any potential wrecks I'll lay blame 50/50 from my experiences on both the 'slower' and the 'faster' drivers.
Scenario 1) the 'slower driver' ,afraid of getting run over, does an unexpected maneuver in an attempt to let the 'faster' driver past. often ending in a wreck.
or (and this is the one I hate)
Scenario 2) the faster driver doesn't show patience and in a hurry to get to the front because the 'slower driver' is 'in their way', runs the slower driver over.
So, the obvious recommendations?
for scenario 1) 'slower driver' runs their race. don't intentionally block of course, but don't just roll over and die either. run your race and run your (predictable) line. if the faster driver is indeed faster, they'll find a safe way around. Hopefully everyone is on chat, 'slower driver' communicate your intent to pull over on a straight or other safe place if you feel the need. (am i out of line here faster drivers? tell us what you want).
and 2) faster drivers show some patience. its a long race. you don't have to get around everyone in the first corner.
my two cents.
