Part of me hopes this is true.
Part of me is being realistic.

Don't get your hopes up massively, but there could be a potential.

I could see a race version of the E30 fitting into that.

I can say the same. On one hand, this could be a very big hint at what's to come, as well as the Gr. A designation someone found in the code way back then. But on the other, classic/old race cars do not fit into the current car lineup at all. The oldest Group car we have is the 2011 458 Italia GT3, apart from the 1980s Pikes Peak Quattro. And I'm still quite baffled as to why the Pikes Peak was included in the first place.

I still want it though

Νot a really source of info. Just wishing this all to be true sometime in future... sorry. I am big fan of Group A rally and race cars.

If this was a typo, that means a person is setting up these events.

Why not automate this? Why waste the manpower?

Here is a wishfull thought.

Maybe PDI has build GrA versions of the cars they have added while creating them and they make grA update similar to gr2.

Which would apply (this isnt a wish list BTW)? Any N200ish cars that aren't already in Gr.4 perhaps?

My personal thought is it's geared towards older touring cars just like the real Gr.A. It seems likely to me as they have recently released the R32 and M3, both of which are physically near identical to the race versions. Gr.A rally doesn't make any sense to me. There's little to no love for the current Gr.B and rallying in dailies just wouldnt work. I can see this being like last months excellent Gr.2 release, an entirely new category with a few token cars released at first, most likely an M3, an R32 and a Mercedes 190 Evo.

I can't see it being a typo.

If it was just the event title that was wrong then the car filter would show the Group 4 cars. So that means all the visual references to the group AND the coding for the filter would have to have been wrong... the chance of which I think is low. It's more likely that PD have some sort of control panel for updating this events and Gr.A is clearly an option that someone clicked.

Finally someone wrote this. I haven't been in mood to do so

I mentioned the GT Sport Gr. A category in December, i'm pretty sure that i saw this car class in some metadata from release. It's appearance in the game could just be unfortunate and not linked to the imminence of an actual release of cars in the game.

I would love for it to be a classic Touring Class. We already have some pretty good road going candidates such as the MkIII Supra, E30 M3 & R32 GT-R. Would love for this update to include the 190E 2.5-16 Evo II, R31 GTS-R and Gr.A Racing variants of all the aforementioned cars.

When it was first discovered the class order was:

Gr.1
Gr.2
Gr.3
Gr.4
Gr.A
Gr.B
Gr.X

I'm guessing Group A is the top offroad class, or maybe a road racing class older or lower than Group 4.

According to an earlier post group A was an entry level class, sounds similar to group 4 cars but for rally.
