TV race replay camera is great to use while the autopilot is driving, (just like watching the replay, but in realtime). You can move it between the cars too, (up and down on D-pad).
I have also been using sound trick during autopilot driving (to reduce your drivers engine noise while wathing the other cars in the race. and get the external sound better. from all cars.
CPU Sound Engine ntsc-u 1.1 (hold L2+R2)
D00BC1F6 0300

But but some sounds can be stuck in the memory it seems sometimes, so i have to press pause to reset the sounds. And the lap times stop register and he wount finish the race,
So then i just use this cheat (800B689A 0002) on the last lap to make him finish the race, and get back his inboard engine noise and tire noise.
Your Sound Engine ntsc-u 1.1 (hold L2+L1)
D00BC1F6 0500
800B689A 0002
and press pause game aka start button, for sound reset
i Also turn of rumble vibrations in the option menu. when using autopilot
Here is 2 more must have cheats in GT1

Maybe gt1 is like flogging a dead horse, make it great again.
Flogging a dead horse (or
beating a dead horse in
American English) is an
idiom meaning that a particular effort is futile, being a waste of time without a positive outcome, e.g. such as
flogging a dead horse, which will not compel it to do useful work.
